Australia, December 2010: 24 year old Phoebe Handsjuk is found dead in a garbage chute in a luxury apartment building. It's ruled a suicide, but the entrance to the garbage chute is tiny and difficult to access and the whole thing is very fishy. What really happened?

The connection is the boyfriend - and both of his parents are judges.

I've been listening to a podcast about the case (Phoebe's Fall from the Sydney Morning Herald). A little fortean incident in it seems worth mentioning.

After Phoebe's death, a friend of hers saw a butterfly, and thinking it to be a visit from her spirit, said 'goodbye Phoebe'. Just then, hundreds of butterflies appeared out of seemingly nowhere, confirming her belief.
