Don't know about the Omphalos of Britain but there's a really good pub there!

Another place mentioned in the article as being the geographical centre of England is the village of Meriden, in Warwickshire. There, it's either the village cross, or the village pub, that fight for the title...

That's right. Meriden's also very close to Cobentry, where I live. there's the "Centre of England" Post on the village green (just in front of the pub); It looks pretty old, like an old cross but minus the head IIRC; I've only ever seen it from the bus!
