in the articles section on the main site, there is an article on the witchfinder general etc., which states the following on the articles last page:

Belief in the danger of witches did not vanish from rural communities, and sporadic lynchings were reported from the 18th to the mid-20th centuries.

where were these lynchings?
 
i had forgotten about that, seem to recall another "murder" of a witch where the aforesaid "witch" was found in a hollow tree... or did i imagine that?
 
didn't a druid die in suspicious circumstances last year in Cornwall? Does that count?
