Disconcertingly, the presiding judge summed up the deeds that were blamed on a family man from Brühl in front of the Cologne district court. Due to serious sexual abuse, the former bus driver has to go to prison for nine years and four months.
The defendant had made a comprehensive confession at the beginning of the trial that he abused his three daughters in front of the camera, which then made videos available to chat partners in the Darknet. His goal was to get exchange material, photos and videos of prepubertal boys with sexual content. The abuse material of the daughters had used the accused as currency.
The perverse barter went so far that the defendant had offered his daughters in the net downright to abuse. A man from Viersen agreed, visited the Brühler with his seven-year-old son several times. It was cyber investigators in Portugal who exposed the case. They transmitted chat data to the German authorities, a house search followed. The judge noted that this took place on the fourth birthday of one of the daughters. The girl had come down the stairs dressed in a princess costume when the officers were standing in the hallway.
"The officials were very cautious," said the judge on Wednesday. The children should not have heard that "their family was taken apart". When the judge said that, her mother was crying as a co-plaintiff in the hall. The father was sentenced in addition to the prison sentence for the payment of compensation. He has to pay 22 500 euros to his daughters. Mitigating the judge judged the fact that the defendant acted with open sight and more acts have admitted, as were accused.
However, many of the abusive acts are documented by the video recordings anyway. Pardon was mainly for the fact that the Brühler had named accomplices. Thus further abuse acts were prevented. With the verdict the district court remained only four months under the request of the public prosecutor. Defense lawyer Christoph Weber, specialist lawyer for criminal law, had demanded an appropriate verdict. The decision is not yet final.
