Dragons pre-date christianity and their puny bogey men by thousands of years. Sad, sad, backward god freaks.

No, it's a fair cop. We are all Satanists. If anything it's a relief to be outed.

You do know dragons don't exist, don't you? Hard to see how they could pre-date anything ;)

So what is this Christian group suggesting the Welsh should use instead? A picture of a bearded man with long hair?

A picture of Conchita Wurst would do nicely, methinks...

Howabout an ancient method of grisly execution, like a cross with someone nailed to it for good measure? It could be made less grisly if the figure is holding pompoms.

It is not what is being depicted but what it represents to that culture that is the real meaning behind both the Dragon and the Cross.

Any heraldry site should give the low-down on the western dragon.....

While many viewed dragons as a symbol of the Devil, the Western dragon, four-legged and winged, is a very common symbol on crests. This can be explained by history, for Uther Pendragon, the father of legendary King Arthur, had the symbol of the dragon on his crest.

Keen sight, power, and fearsomeness are usually connected to dragons. Treasure is also thought of when Western dragons are imagined. Thus, dragons obviously symbolized powerful, wealthy people who guarded their wealth keenly.

And worshipped Satan.

Hail Satan!

I beg to differ. Dragons occur in every culture on earth and images of them can be found going back 25'000 years. Worldwide they are more associate with the element of water than that of fire. Sightings persist in remote areas especialy in Asia.
One or more large, unknown species of reptile may well be at the core of the dragon legend, however much distorted by myth in the reterlling.
