Deadly spider found in forest

The RSPCA has issued an urgent appeal for information after a deadly spider was found in a jar in a forest.

The charity says the highly-venomous funnel web spider was found by two women walking in woodland near Kidderminster, Worcestershire.

An RSPCA spokesman says the half-inch long spider, which is thought to have been brought to Britain from Australia, is likely to die after suffering severe dehydration.

The spider is being looked after at West Midlands Safari Park in Bewdley.

The RSPCA spokesman said: "The jar had a Perth International Airport sticker on it and it is believed that the spider may have been brought into the country by someone returning from a holiday in Australia, who then dumped it."

Is that what everyone else got  I'm vexed (as always)

I suppose it's one way to get it on air - send deadly spiders to bump the cast off - I seem to remember a similar situation in one of the early Bond films

(And I quite like Cold Feet... usually miss it tho :()

Yeah, saw that right *after* I posted this one. Guess I'll have to learn to read...
