Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19): Conspiracy Theories & Claims

I was reading in the paper today that the latest CT is the head of Pfizer has been arrested, despite the fact he hasn't - it's been covered up, naturally. Apparently he will be taken to trial for making up his company's vaccination safety data. People are just inventing anything that pops into their heads now, aren't they? And straight onto Facebook and Twitter with it.

Maoris tell anti-vaxxers to haka off.

A Maori tribe has told anti-vaccine protesters in New Zealand to stop the use of a famous haka "immediately".

The Ka Mate haka is hugely popular as it is performed by national rugby team the All Blacks before every match. The Ngati Toa tribe, which has legal guardianship of the haka, issued a strong notice after protestors performed the war dance during demonstrations last week.

The notice comes as vaccination rates among the Maori people have been low. Just 61% of eligible Maori people are fully vaccinated and 77% have received their first dose. This is short of New Zealand's targeted rate of 90% among its eligible population.

"Ngati Toa condemns the use of the Ka Mate haka to push and promote anti-Covid-19 vaccination messages," said its chief executive officer Helmut Modlik in a statement. Many of our tupuna [ancestors] lost their lives in previous pandemics... we are absolutely clear that the COVID-19 vaccine is the best protection we have available to us, and we are committed to supporting our whānau [family] to get vaccinated as soon as possible."

Prominent scientist who said lab-leak theory of covid-19 origin should be probed now believes evidence points to Wuhan market

A scientist argues that the locations of the earliest coronavirus cases point to transmission from animals sold and slaughtered in China.
Yesterday at 2:00 p.m. EST
The location of early coronavirus infections in late 2019 in Wuhan, China, suggests the virus probably spread to humans from a market where wild and domestically farmed animals were sold and butchered, according to a peer-reviewed article published Thursday in the journal Science that is the latest salvo in the debate over how the pandemic began.

Look...Don't get fooled. All this concern now about this 'new' variant (B.1.1.529 / Omicron) is all a nonsense, a 'false flag' if you will.
Ask yourself - Why is it, that this is being reported with so much alarm now, as a 'new' variant, when it was actually identified way back in EARLY JULY?????
And look, here is the report about it, from the WEF from July 12, 2021.

"Scientists in South Africa have discovered a small number of cases of a new COVID variant. They’re working to understand its potential implications but told a news conference that it had a ‘very unusual constellation’ of mutations.
They’re concerned that they could help it evade the body’s immune response and make the variant - named B.1.1.529 - more transmissible."
https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2021/07/how-scientists-detect-new-covid-19-variants/

The problem is that the mainstream media and governments collude to engender a general feeling of alarm among the population.
And newspapers want to sell copies and advertising space. Stories of "I'm a celebrity" just don't cut the mustard.
This story being wheeled out now is just a convenient mechanism for them. And that's all it is, a story.
Unfortunately once they take the cork out of the bottle they find they then can't put it back in.
There have been many other variants, and there will be many more.

Thanks for that, Trev. I do feel there is something in what you're saying.

You do start to notice a pattern in media reporting and it begins to get a bit predictable. It's as though, whenever people start to begin feeling a little but hopeful and to relax ever so slightly - along comes another news story involving Covid to ensure that we're all in a state of apprehensive vigilance again.

Panic porn has always been a part of the press modus operandi - but it has grown exponentially since the pandemic started. You can see this, for example, in the way that journalists talk about `terrifying statistics` without putting the word `terrifying` in quotations, as though to direct the way we view things rather than letting the stats speak for themselves
(and this is the `quality` press of which I speak!)

But if this is a sort of reporting conspiracy going on, then it needs more of a motive than the one you're supplying. That it helps to flog newspapers doesn't cut it for me. Nor do I want to go down the whole `Great Reset/antivaxxer route.

The only thing I can think of is that the powerful tech companies are doing very well indeed out of more and more people using their online services - and so they would have a clear motive in keeping this whole thing going for as long as they can. And they have contacts and friends in all the media, of course.

Anyway, there is at least one mainstream expert who is playing down this new strain a bit:

I do feel there is something in what you're saying.
I don't go for conspiracy theories in general. They usually all seem a bit too 'tin foil hat' for me, so I like to look for some corroborative evidence if possible.
"If it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it's probably a duck"
And also remember that you can't attribute something to being a deliberate action if it can equally be explained away as idiocy, ineptitude or accident.

Basically what I'm saying is that the relationship between the mainstream media and any government has always been one of mutual assistance (or at least it is in the UK).
Whichever is the government of the day wants to keep the MSM 'onside' as it helps them put out their policies etc.
The MSM wants to keep a current government happy as it means they are less regulated and sell more copies, and along with that the advertising they contain.

Covid vaccine holdouts are caving to mandates — then scrambling to 'undo' their shots

/hint: it doesn't work that way.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
In a TikTok video that has garnered hundreds of thousands of views, Dr. Carrie Madej outlined the ingredients for a bath she said will “detox the vaxx” for people who have given into Covid-19 vaccine mandates.

The ingredients in the bath are mostly not harmful, although the supposed benefits attached to them are entirely fictional. Baking soda and epsom salts, she falsely claims, will provide a “radiation detox” to remove radiation Madej falsely believes is activated by the vaccine. Bentonite clay will add a “major pull of poison,” she says, based on a mistaken idea in anti-vaccine communities that toxins can be removed from the body with certain therapies.

Then, she recommends adding in one cup of borax, a cleaning agent that’s been banned as a food additive by the Food and Drug Administration, to “take nanotechnologies out of you.”

Unbelievable as it seems , bathing in water with one cup of borax in will not harm you. Extremely toxic when ingested , but OK to bathe in.

It is a natural remedy for an embarrassing women's problem , you order the borax and empty gel caps , make them into pessaries.

Yes I was astounded when I read that putting borax inside ones privates was safe. But it is .

I agree with you. I'm no believer in the New World Order or The Great Reset but it is clear this isn't a 'new' variant but rather one that appeared in July. Yet the UK media, especially the Daily Mail, have gone into a deliberate panic mode.

For me, it's a little too convenient this has 'emerged' in the run-up to Christmas and when there is a campaign for us all to get our booster shots.

Edit: also perhaps its just a coincidence the Omicron name sounds so.... well ominous and almost something from a science-fiction movie, Just a coincidence, I'm sure,,,

An Australian cyber friend - rabid anti-vaxxer but nice enough if you avoid the subject - had posted a meme that pointed out that 'omicron' is an anagram of 'moronic'. Funny but unhelpful.

This man-eating monster is just one scientists knew about months ago! It's perfectly safe!

:bs:

I have the same advice for anyone who's been stampeded by your post - don't get fooled.

A little reading comprehension goes a long way ...

The article you cited is an 'explainer' article originally posted on a non-medical website on 12 July 2021. It's an article explaining how new mutations / strains are identified and tracked.

As the version of this webpage you cited announces at its outset:
This article was last updated on 26 November 2021.

The November 26 version of this article includes the following, from which your quotation is missing the embedded link:

Scientists in South Africa have discovered a small number of cases of a new COVID variant.
The embedded link:

https://www.reuters.com/business/he...ew-covid-19-variant-small-numbers-2021-11-25/

... is this Reuters article:

S.Africa detects new COVID-19 variant, implications not yet clear
November 25, 2021
8:57 PM EST
Last Updated 3 days ago

... which announces South African scientists had newly discovered the B.1.1.529 variant and were working to understand its implications.

Now here's a recent WHO press release announcing the categorization of the B.1.1.529 variant as a 'variant of concern' (VOC). Note the highlighted bits ...
The B.1.1.529 variant was first reported to WHO from South Africa on 24 November 2021. The epidemiological situation in South Africa has been characterized by three distinct peaks in reported cases, the latest of which was predominantly the Delta variant. In recent weeks, infections have increased steeply, coinciding with the detection of B.1.1.529 variant. The first known confirmed B.1.1.529 infection was from a specimen collected on 9 November 2021.

This variant has a large number of mutations, some of which are concerning. Preliminary evidence suggests an increased risk of reinfection with this variant, as compared to other VOCs. The number of cases of this variant appears to be increasing in almost all provinces in South Africa. Current SARS-CoV-2 PCR diagnostics continue to detect this variant. Several labs have indicated that for one widely used PCR test, one of the three target genes is not detected (called S gene dropout or S gene target failure) and this test can therefore be used as marker for this variant, pending sequencing confirmation. Using this approach, this variant has been detected at faster rates than previous surges in infection, suggesting that this variant may have a growth advantage.

Any allegation this variant was known back in July is bogus, and it would appear the bogosity has more to do with the reader than what he / she reads.

Thank you for taking that apart.
I did not spot the fact that it was referencing a different site in it's text.
I also did not spot any heading or sub-heading stating "This article was last updated on 26 November 2021." and nor does it say that now.
It currently reads "This article was originally published on 12 July 2021." and has a date of 26 Nov 2021 above the writers name.
I'm not aware of the method for looking at how a webpage looked at some previous date.
You saying "...A little reading comprehension goes a long way" I feel is rather unkind - you might have phrased that a little better.

Separately, Dr Angelique Coatzee, the South African doctor who first reported the B.1.1.529 variant, has a lengthy piece in 'The Telegraph' in which she explains that she was starting to see this different strain 'earlier this month' before raising the possibility of a new mutation. The piece states "The B.1.1.529 variant, now called omicron, was first identified in Botswana on November 11".
That tallies with a sample collected on November 9th that you mention and would indicate that it was evident in the population there at some point before that date.
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/global-...r-raised-alarm-omicron-variant-says-symptoms/

So I think we can agree that at any rate, it was not suddenly discovered last Thursday/Friday (25th/26th) but rather, at least 2 weeks previously.
Plenty of time for it to 'get out' into the wider population.

"not for internal use"..... well don't drink the bathwater, but... well truth is drinking a lot of healthcare products will kill you or make you sick these days.

Anyways, came across this news thingy:

Borax is really useful as a cleaner, also you add it to the laundry water if you have hard water. It is, however, poisonous to drink. It's downstairs sitting next to my washer as I write.

Feel free to print off and cross out each variant as it arises. My money is on the next variant being called Upsilon

As discussed on the other thread, the WHO skipped the letter Nu* as it could cause confusion with "New", but why not use XI?

* The exception being France, where Omicron is referred to as Nu.

I think they'll stop using the Greek alphabet for names and resort to the method used for the naming of Storms/Hurricanes/Tropical Cyclones etc and just start using regular names, beginning with a name starting with the letter 'A' at the start of each year.
So expect 2022 to see Variant 'Alfred', followed by 'Barry', 'Colin'...etc

I see that Germany are referring to their covid-rules regarding public gatherings as 2G and 3G. That seems an unfortunate choice.

A large group of scientists got together and requested the documentation that the FDA used to ascertain approval of the vaccines from Pfizer. The turn around time is suppose to be 20 days to get the information under the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA) to the scientists but the FDA is saying that it will only release 500 redacted pages a month until the year 2076.

With billions of Pfizer COVID shots having been mandated by governments and administered to citizens around the world, there have of course been millions of adverse events that have occurred. A group of scientists have sent a FOIA request to the FDA to ascertain the approval process of Pfizer's COVID vaccine and the first 500 pages of documentation have now been released. What is contained in those pages is staggering. Investigative Journalist from Trial Site News, Sonia Elijah, breaks down the report - which you can read here: https://trialsitenews.com/fdas-forced...

Explosive revelations about the FDA and Pfizer's COVID vaccine [PART 1]

given that two people close to my family died shortly after getting a vax? yeah....

That 500 pages a month is apparently the standard for FOIA requests and the group of people "concerned" about the vaccine are requesting all the data on the approval process.

All that data is going to have to be sanitised so any patient identifying information is removed and the FDA doesn't have that many people working in the relevant department. The only sheer scale of the request is the only reason why it is likely to take so long

If the people wanting the information on the process want it faster they can reduce the scope of their request or be willing to help fund the FDA so they can have more people working in that department.
