Jacques Vallee: His Work; His Books; His Views

The really valuable thing in Vallee's work for me, in whatever odd directions he's since taken it, is the link drawn between earlier anomalous human experiences and their experiences of UFOs. This is why I find the fairy-like aspects of the Perez incident illuminating (albeit those studying it seem to interpret it within a shamanic tradition appropriate to the local culture).

I'm not sure about mimicking our science so much as parodying it. These 'entities' often seem to deliberately mislead and confound us, much as fairies once did. I do think that much of the imagery is archetypal and somehow generated by the experiencer - the UFOs come, in some way, from within - but what degree of external stimulus is involved, and how multiple witness sightings function...well, that's the question.
