Burning Man attendees unveil 'truth' of 'uncomfortably moist' Orgy Dome

In a Reddit thread titled 'Consent, HSV2 and the Orgy Dome - How does it work?', one account got their burning questions answered as many wanted to share their NSFW experiences.

The top rated comment simply quipped: "It's a potluck, not a buffet." However, other Redditors were more willing to provide help and advice."

One attendee said that the Orgy Dome was 'moist' and isn't even a dome at all, apparently.

The festival goer dubbed Burning Man the 'driest place on earth' - apart from the dome, of course. In the comment on the social media thread, they said: "Driest place on earth and orgy dome is still uncomfortably moist. It’s not a dome, it’s a series of carports."

Oh are they still using tartrazine? I remember years ago the fuss about it's link to hyperactivity and monitoring the ingredients I fed to my boys to make sure it wasn't present. :(

E-number found in Doritos can turn skin invisible, scientists find

Weirdly, I tried to read another link within the article and when I returned to the original article, I was able to read it in full. I tried to copy reader view, but it reverted to the original paywalled article.

I found this one:

"The study is published in Science and has yet to be tested on human skin, which is 10 times as thick as that of a mouse, but it is thought that it will likely be similarly as effective."

I'll say UNlikely. (Edit: They will have a bit of time getting approval for human trials because the substance may have toxicity.)

Also, I feel like this article was deliberately written to make me feel like I'm going insane. The link attached to "E-number" (because it's used in the first sentence with no explanation) takes me to a link titled "Savvy shopper: additive-free cordials" which mentions E-numbers but does not explain them.

The entire article resulted in me being far more confused than before I read it. Whomever this Joe Pinkstone is, he should be fired.

Here is the American version, which makes things a bit clearer for me.:sneaky2: https://www.washingtonpost.com/science/2024/09/05/see-through-transparent-mice-food-dye/

Ok, maybe this was simply a cultural thing. Because it's referring to a European thing and I'm USAnian.

E numbers, short for Europe numbers, are codes for substances used as food additives, including those found naturally in many foods, such as vitamin C, for use within the European Union (EU) and European Free Trade Association (EFTA)

I mean, for the sake of the female attendees, I hope things get wet in the Orgy Dome.

Hello @Sharon Hill I knew perfectly well what e-numbers are but I hadn't realised that the e stood for European! So what do you call them in the USA? Do they have a numbering system?
I just thought it was a problem with a misplaced edit code. I got the gist of it regardless.

We don't have numbers. Food labels will list the chemical names. But for artificial colors, there are numbers. I'll have to ask my younger daughter, a food scientist, if she knows what those mean. For example, here is the ingredients label for Doritos.

Yellow 6 Yellow 5 and red 40.
There's three cancer causing substances straight off.
Stay away from Doritos.

The safety of artificial food colouring is certainly controversial. 6* of them have been approved by both the EFSA and the FDA although more are allowed in other countries.
*Red 3 and 40
Yellow 5 and 6
Blue 1 and 2

Some are approved in USA but banned in Europe and vice versa. Just goes to show we consumers can never be sure. Trying to avoid them all to be on the ultra safe side is not easy.

Minister weeps in court as she tells how man threw cow dung towards her in meeting

and I ask you friend, what's a fella to do, because her hair was black and her eyes were blue...

Disgraceful behaviour to an elected representative doing their job. Although I suppose he did take it out of the cow first.
