Mysterious Deaths Of Microbiologists

Techybloke said:
Why would someone go to all the trouble of removing all the top bioweapons experts in the world ?

Well, has 'someone' actually done so? You still haven't shown whether these deaths are statistically unusual... On paper, they may seem 'odd', but before anyone starts any conspiracy claims about bio-weapons engineeering, etc. such claims have to have some merit. Look at any other profession and see if such 'unnatural' death rates, etc. over the same time are similar or not.

Let's not start donning tinfoil hats just yet, hm?

I claim a coconut for spotting the first tinfoil hat of the season.

So we have scientists in the US, Russia, Israel, Thailand and Iraq, many of whom don't seem to be microbiologists at all, and some more suspicious than others (an 84-year-old dying of heart failure, how strange is that?). Hard to see a connection.

The race-specific bioweapon idea is cute, but I don't think it would be any use. Opponents don't usually fall into easily-identifiable genetic groups, and much as racists would like there to be clear-cut differences, it doesn't seem to work that way. AFAIK only the South Africans seriously researched this one, and they didn't get very far.

On the other hand, all those journalists getting killed or shot at in Iraq looks much more clear-cut...

come peeps wake up and smell the roses

I was waiting for someone to prove my stats are just normal.

think about this
How many White people died from Sars ?

In answer to an earlier question
Ebola is not a good weapon it has a very short incucation period and is easy to contain unless an airborne version could be developed.
An airborne version would also prove dangerous to the people wishing to use it !
a new smallpox would also be effective but hazardous to everyone on the planet.

My point is if someone wished to be race specific they would need a new virus or combination of viruses.
I,m not a chemist but I would think it would be something like this
A virus is released amongst a test race the virus has no real symptoms but paves the way for a another virus to exploit the firsts real reason.

the first virus is not easily passed out of the area due to a short incubation period however it would be airborne.
Maybe infecting 700 people
then the second virus is introduced into the test area some of the 700 get it and a percentage die.
No one that did'nt catch the first virus has any symptoms from the second.

No one can understand how the virus can be so selective thats because they havent found the first yet.

comments welcome

Err Sars broke out in the far East so not many. If it had broken out in a suburb of London then quite a few probably.

A race specific virus is a non starter, there are too many variables and you can't predict how mixed race people (as about 90% of the world are) would react to it.

In answer to an earlier question

Beg to differ on that one TB. Ebola Zaire strain is carried in bodily fluids and therefore difficult to spread (the virus tries to spread by causing the patient to undergo grand mal seizures in the 'bleeding out' final phase flinging out blood etc) though over 90% lethal to humans. Ebola Reston on the other hand is an airborne strain of the disease, one sneeze and it spreads but is lethal only to simians (monkeys) producing only flu like symptoms in humans. The logical step therefore in weaponising Ebola would be to produce a hybrid of the two, assuming of course Nature doesn't beat us to it as Ebola does have a nasty habit of mutating each time it reappears.

I was waiting for someone to prove my stats are just normal.

Sorry TB but you brought the subject up and made the claim you produce stats that show this pattern of death is abnormal.

Exactly. And have any of those listed actually died in the ways described anyway?

Also, is some nefarious organisation(s) were bumping off such scientists left right and centre, one imagines that the worse way of disposing of them was in various ways that may draw attention.

Hi All

This is my last post on this subject.
I,m off to buy some bottled water and tinned goods and a good supply of antivirals.

Have a good time with the avain flu chaps

times they are a chang'in

Can't stand the heat, eh? ;)

It'd be nice if people who post theories here actually stick with the discussion...

Nah Jerry

Theres no point knocking when theres no body home !

If you think Murder and suicide are common ways for the top 4 microbiologists to die then thats great mate.

When your teacher from high school and your next door neighbour get beated to death and their bodies stored in their car boots i,ll eat my words.

Techybloke you have posted a theory and asked for comments which we have provided, we are interested in a discussion on the subject which is why we have continued posting. Provide some facts to back up your theory and the discussion will continue, a discussion is after all a two way street, otherwise we are all just talking to ourselves.

At a rough guesstimate @44, out of 774 fatalities, which is @5.7%. SARS was a pretty poor killer rating fatalities only in the region of 9.6% of victims.

WHO statistics for SARS

The problem with "race-specific" viruses is that biology just doesn't work that way. The genetic difference between, say, whites and asians is so small as to be practically insignificant. To be frank you'd be better off just using diseases that your targets had yet to build a resistance to but thanks to globalisation and travel there aren't any that wouldn't target you as well. I feel fairly safe in saying that race speciic viri exist only in th wet dreams of the extreme right.

a good supply of antivirals.

Btw antivirals will slow the symptoms of Avian flu and hopefully stop the onset of pneumonia which is the part of the disease that actually kills you but does not cure the disease.

In order to effect a cure the anti-virus is required which is being stock piled by the US rather than the Anti-virals the UK are stock piling (the reason being that UK Microbiologists appear worried that the virus may mutate and render any anti-virus useless).

Now that's interesting.

Hi Heckler

THATS AN INTERESTING THING YOU SAID INDEED.

I must be wrong in thinking there had been no clear vaccine yet for bird flu !!! I thought it was still in the testing !

So the US already have it all covered ???

I thought I had made a reasonable case for the strange coincidence of these deaths.
A discussion usually revolves around people making comments and backing up what the have said with something more than "you go and disprove it yourself"

If it is not in the least strange to anyone on here then I must be completely mistaken in my ideas.

I personally know of zero teachers that have been murdered or commited suicide.
I also do not know any Microbiologists personally!
I do not personally know anyone who has been murdered or commited suicide even in this small world in which we live.
Dr Kelly Knew most of these people and had worked with many of them.

I did a poll in our office to see how many people actually knew anyone that had been murdered to no avail.

As a question do any of you know personally anyone that has been murdered ?

Information regarding the microbiologists is freely being discussed across many forums as we speak, its a common thread on many conspiracy boards in the US.

I,m not saying Heckler that this is a conspiracy what I am saying it is strange.

Have you read the transcripts of the DR David Kelly hearing ?

My point in this is
If I can prove to you one of them was murdered that was supposed to be a suicide, then maybe you would take the others a little more open minded.

many Appologies for any insults I may have made during my previous posts.

P.S I don't think I described the race targeted viri very well.

Is there any difference between asians and europeans genetically ?

Just a little something I found

2001 Statistics (2004 Almanac)

Disease / Condition
Annual Deaths
Percent Lifestyle
1) Heart Disease 700,142 29 % Yes
2) Malignant Neoplasms (Cancer) 553,768 22.9% 50/50
3) Stroke (cerebrovascular disease) 163,538 6.8 % 50/50
4) Chronic Lower Respiratory disease 123,013 5.1 % No***
5) Accidents (Car Accidents* (2002) - 44,000) 101,537 4.2 % No***
6) Diabetes Mellitus 71,372 3.0 % 50/50
7) Pneumonia & Influenza 62,034 2.6% No
8) Alzheimer's Disease 53,852 2.2 % No***
9) Kidney disease (Nephritis, nephrotic syndrome,
& nephrosis) 39,480 1.6 % 50/50
10) Septicemia (toxins in the blood -
known as "blood poisoning") 32,238 1.3 % 50/50
Total Deaths per Year** 2,400,000 100

No where in the top 10 killers for Suicide and murder !!!!!
car accidents making its debut at 5 may account for a couple of them tho.

less than 1.3 % for suicide and Murder so out of 46 only 1 maybe should have been murdered maybe ????

A lot depends on whether the disease mutates from bird to human infection to human to human infection, if it does then potentially the anti-virus maybe useless. There seems to be a lot of disagreement in the scientific community at the moment.

I thought I had made a reasonable case for the strange coincidence of these deaths.
A discussion usually revolves around people making comments and backing up what the have said with something more than "you go and disprove it yourself"

And we've agreed it is strange, but are they connected? On this board we keep a very open mind on almost anything (that is the nature of being Fortean) but an open mind continues to question and that is what we are doing.

Stats on causes of death are available on the net, the nub of the argument seems to be are they higher in Microbiology than any other industry or branch of science? If these deaths buck the trend then it would start to get interesting.

By the way don't get us wrong TB no-one is deliberately trying to debunk you, this isn't James Randi's message board! :gaga:

Is there any difference between asians and Europeans genetically ?

Not one you could use to reliably target any disease. Asians and europeans are cosmetic varients of a single species: H. Sapiens Sapiens. They're not even subspecies; biologically they're identical and genetically the differences are cosmetic.

Literally. The differences in DNA between the Asians and Europeans are those that are those genetic sequences responsible for appearance. Thing is it's not a single sequence that can be used; we all have melanin and hair texture varies between individuals.

Indeed there are often greater genetic variations within 'races' than there between them. That is to say that there is a greater genetic difference between the Japanese, Chinese and Koreans than between Asians and Europeans.

http://www.pbs.org/race/000_About/002_0 ... -01-04.htm

I'm not saying that something's not up but I just feel that you're off the mark with this whole race thing. I'm more convinced in a conspiracy by the realisation the 46 over 2 years is 23 a year...

Techybloke - if you or your workmates don't know of any teachers, etc. who've committed suicide, etc. that doesn't mean a thing. Such things go on regardless. You could apply the same logic to a whole host of ways that people can die, and it doesn't mean it it's unusual if you yourself have not come into contact with such things yourself.

There are a range of factors to take into account when considering death rates. In isolation, some data could be seen as a flag for something 'unusual'.

And aside from that, as I've said, once again we have to believe that perhaps some rather inept conspiracy is going on that draws attention to itself by the means it choses to silence certain parties. This is hardly something new within the realms of conspiracy theories.

The first 4 I mentioned were all well known to each other and there is quite a lot of info available for them.

Any one wishing to see for themselves should start with DR David Kelly's
Hutton inquiry transcripts !!!
A coverup is in there no doubt as far as I am concerned.

Dr. Vladimir Pasechnik
He was debriefed by Kelly when He defected from Russia.
Dr. Benito Que
Dr. Don C. Wiley
Both were good friends of Kelly and worked together on some projects

Out of interest, where did you find this information?

An academic literature search finds that Dr Que* was mainly concerned with dental eruptions, not really the stuff of global conspiracies. ;) Dr Wiley worked on SIV, getting closer but there is no evidence he ever worked with Dr Kelly. Certainly none of these men have ever published anything together. What sort of projects did you mean?

Edit-That is if I have the right Dr Que. If there he another he didn't publish anything.

Apparently:

The public relations office at the University of Miami Medical School said only that Benito Que was a cell biologist, involved in oncology research in the hematology department. This research relies heavily on DNA sequencing studies.

Not sure about the validity of the data:

same site, a possible connection?:

The research the microbiologists were doing could have developed methods of treating diseases like anthrax and smallpox without conventional antibiotics or vaccines. Pharmaceutical contracts to deal with these diseases will total hundreds of millions, if not billions, of dollars. If epidemics could be treated in non-traditional ways, MEHPA might not be necessary. Considering the government's actions nullifying many civil liberties since last September, MEHPA seems to be a law looking for an excuse to be enacted. Maybe the microbiologists were in the way of some peoples' or business' agendas.

Pharmaceutical companies offing people makes a little more sense.

It's a smaller world than I thought:

In recent years Patrick has worked with Kanatjan Alibekov. Now known by the Americanized "Ken Alibek", he defected to the US in 1992. Before defecting, Alibek was the no. 2 man in the FSU's biowarfare program. His boss was Vladimir Pasechnik.

Currently, Ken Alibek is President of Hadron Advanced Biosystems, a subsidiary of Alexandria, Va.-based Hadron, Inc. Hadron describes itself as a company specializing in the development of technical solutions for the intelligence community. As chief scientist at Hadron, Alibek gave extensive testimony to the House Armed Services Committee about biological weapons on Oct. 20, 1999, and again on May 23, 2000. Hadron announced on Dec. 20 that as of that date, the company had received $12 million in funding for medical biodefense research from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, the US Army Medical Research and Materiel Command, and the NIH. Hadron said it was working in the field of non-specific immunity

Ken Alibek was as I previously mentioned the director of Biopreparat facility at Stepnogorsk which weaponised a number of nasty diseases for the Soviets prior to his defection.

Sounds about right. I have to say though that just because you sequence genes as part of your work, it doesn't automatically connect you to another scientist who also sequences genes as part of their work. :?

Microbiologists With Link to Race-Based Weapon Turning Up Dead

Exclusive to American Free Press

By Gordon Thomas

Dr. David Kelly—the biological warfare weapons specialist at the heart of the continuing political crisis for the British government—had links to three other top microbiologists whose deaths have left unanswered questions.

The 59-year-old British scientist was involved with ultra secret work at Israel’s Institute for Biological Re search. Israeli sources claim Kelly met institute scientists several times in London in the past two years.

Israel has not signed the Biological Weapons and Toxins Convention, an international treaty ratified by more than 140 countries. It forbids the development, possession and use of offensive biological and chemical weapons.

The CIA, FBI and MI5 are now examining Kelly’s connections. Their findings could form part of the British government’s inquiry into the background of Kelly’s death, which opened last week.

The intelligence investigation is believed to have originated in Washington, where it emerged that Kelly had contacts with two companies in the U.S. bio-defense industry.

One of the men he was in touch with was a former Russian defector, Kamovtjan Alibekov. When he arrived in America, he changed his name to Ken Alibek. He is now president of Hadron Advanced Biosystems—a company specializing in medicines against biological terrorist attacks. Kelly was himself considering resigning from his senior post at the Ministry of Defense to work in America. Before his death, he had been discreetly headhunted by two companies. One was Hadron Advanced Biosystems, which has close ties to the Pentagon.

Hadron describes itself as “a company specializing in the development of technical solutions for the U.S. intelligence community.” Hadron also has links to William Patrick, who has five classified patents on the process of developing weaponized anthrax. He is a biowarfare consultant to both the Pentagon and the CIA.

The other company is Regma Biotechnologies—one that Kelly helped its founder, Vladimir Pasechnik, to set up in Britain, arranging for it to have a laboratory at Porton Down, the country’s chem-bio warfare defense establishment.

Regma currently has a contract with the U.S. Navy for “the diagnostic and therapeutic treatment of anthrax.”

Kelly had told family friends he wanted to go to America so that he could obtain the specialized treatment his wife, Janice, requires. “He also felt that working in the U.S. private sector would relieve him of the intense pressures which came with his government work,” said a colleague in the Ministry of Defense.
The two American scientists he had worked with were Benito Que, 52, and Don Wiley, 57. Both microbiologists had been engaged in DNA sequencing that could provide “a genetic marker based on genetic profiling.” The research could play an important role in developing weaponized pathogens to hit selected groups of humans—identifying them by race. Two years ago, both men were found dead, in circumstances never fully explained.
In November 2001, Que left his laboratory after receiving a telephone call. Shortly afterward he was found comatose in the parking lot of the Miami Medical School. He died without regaining consciousness.

Police said he had suffered a heart attack. His family insisted he had been in perfect health and claimed four men attacked him. But, later, oddly, the family inquest returned a verdict of death by natural causes.

Many questions remain about Que’s death:

Who was the mystery caller who sent Que hurrying from his lab hours before he was scheduled to leave? What attempts did the police make to track the four mystery men—after admitting Que was the “probable” victim of an attempt to steal his car? What were his links to the U.S. Department of Defense? What happened to his sensitive research into DNA sequencing? How close were his connections to Kelly?

A few days after Que died, Wiley disappeared off a bridge spanning the Mississippi River. He had just left a banquet for fellow researchers in Memphis.

Weeks later, Wiley’s body was found 300 miles down river. As with Que, his family said he was in perfect health. There was no autopsy. The local medical examiner returned a verdict of accidental death. It was suggested he had a dizzy spell and fell off the bridge.

Again, there remain many unanswered questions concerning Wiley’s demise:

Why did Wiley park his car on the bridge? Why did he leave the keys in the ignition and his lights on? Why was Wiley’s car facing in the opposite direction from his father’s house, which was only a short distance away? What happened to his research into DNA sequencing? How close were his connections to Kelly?

Kelly, himself an expert on DNA sequencing when he was head of microbiology at Porton Down, had been kept fully abreast of the two men’s research.

The death of a third microbiologist—Vladimir Pasechnik, 64—has left even more questions.

Kelly had played a key role in debriefing Pasechnik when he fled to Britain in 1989, bringing with him details of Russian plans to use cruise missiles to spread smallpox and plague, the Black Death of medieval times, which killed a third of Europe’s population. Before the plans could be brought to completion, the Soviet Union had collapsed. Pasechnik had warned Kelly and his MI6 debriefers that the weapons could be used by terror groups—using missiles obtained from China or North Korea.

Kelly, with government approval, had helped Pasechnik create Regma Biotechnologies. Regma was allowed to set up a laboratory in Porton Down.

Research there is classified as top secret. However, in August 2002, the company obtained a contract with the U.S. Navy for “the diagnostic and therapeutic treatment of anthrax.”

On Nov. 16, 2001, Pasechnik was found dead in bed—10 days after he and Wiley had met in Boston to discuss the latest developments in DNA sequencing.

It was only a month later that Christopher Davis, a former MI6 officer and a specialist in DNA sequencing as a potential weapon, announced Pasechnik’s death.

Davis had retired from MI6 and settled in Great Falls, Va. He confirmed to a reporter that Pasechnik was dead—from a stroke—a month after the microbiologist had been buried.

Details of the postmortem were not revealed at an inquest, in which the press was given no prior notice. Colleagues who had worked with Pasechnik said he was in good health.

Why was it left to Davis to announce Pasechnik’s death? Who authorized the announcement? Did an MI6 pathologist conduct the autopsy, as one source close to the service claims? Why did Pasechnik continue to visit Porton Down up to a week before his death? Who authorized his security clearance to enter one of the most restricted establishments in Britain?

Kelly’s links to the Institute of Biological Research in the Tel Aviv suburb of Nes Zions are also intriguing.

His connection to the secret biological plant began in October 2001, shortly after a commercial flight en route from Israel to Novosibirsk in Siberia was blown up over the Black Sea by a Ukrainian surface-to-air missile.

All on board the flight were killed, including five Russian microbiologists returning to their research institute in Novosibirsk—a city known as the scientific capital of Siberia. It has 50 facilities and 13 universities.

Many questions remain about the death of these five scientists. Why did Mossad send a team to Ukraine to investigate the crash? What became of their report after it was submitted to the Israeli government? Why do the Ukrainian authorities still insist they cannot reveal the name of the dead microbiologists? Did Pasechnik know them—or, more importantly, did Kelly?

The Institute for Biological Research is one of the most secret places in Israel. Only Dimona, the country’s nuclear facility in the Negev desert, is surrounded by more secrecy. Most of the institute’s 12 acres of facilities are underground. Laboratories are only reached through airlocks.

There have been persistent reports that the institute is also engaged in DNA sequencing research. One former member of the Knesset, Dedi Zucker, caused a storm in the Israeli Parliament when he claimed that the institute was “trying to create an ethnic specific weapon” in which Arabs could be targeted by Israeli weapons.

DAVID KELLY AND VICTORIA'S SECRET

Originally Published in MEDIUM RARE November 12, 2003

[There have been many new developments throughout this past year in the field of biowarfare and the ongoing epidemic of deaths among world-class microbiologists. One thing many of these scientists have in common is that their work had to do with genetic sequencing, biowarfare and a growing record showing that gene-specific bioweapons are being hotly pursued by a number of governments. FTW is currently planning a major series of articles on these developments for the first part of 2004. As the compelling need to achieve population reduction is becoming as apparent as the deadly effects of Peak Oil and Gas, Jim Rarey takes us further into the murder of David Kelly and the dark recesses of his work as one of Britain's top Biowar experts. --MCR]

December 9, 2003 100 PDT (FTW) -- No, it's not the Victoria's Secret of the soft porn lingerie ads. This is a different Victoria who may have innocently provided the final impetus for the assassination of David Kelly.

In Part I of this writer's *article, The Murder of David Kelly we detailed the numerous red flags in the evidence and testimony submitted at the Hutton inquiry into Kelly's death that showed conclusively that his death was not a suicide. One of the more important "clues" was evidence that his body had been moved after he died to the scene in which it was found. Other testimony showed it to be very doubtful that Kelly had inflicted the knife wounds on his left wrist that severed an unlikely artery but left the most easily reached artery untouched.

In Part II of the article, we detailed Kelly's extensive involvement with and/or knowledge of the bio/chemical weapons programs of the U.K., U.S. and Russia. One author reports Kelly also had visited the Israeli bio/chemical weapons facility. Kelly almost certainly would have been aware of the involvement of two U.K. scientists at Porton Down simultaneously as paid consultants to South Africa's notorious bioweapons program. He had also served as an inspector in Iraq of that country's WMD programs.

We also recited the deplorable treatment Kelly had been subjected to by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) Personnel Department in withholding any pay increase over a three-year period as Kelly approached retirement.

However the public perception of Kelly was as the "single source" of statements made by BBC reporter Andrew Gilligan to the effect that the government had "sexed up" the dossier used to justify the war against Iraq. Kelly had voluntarily disclosed to his MoD superiors he had met with Gilligan but denied he made the statements Gilligan attributed to his source.

In a July 9th press conference, the MoD confirmed that Dr. Kelly was Gilligan's source. Kelly was hauled before the parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee for a grilling but convinced committee members he had not provided statements ascribed to him by Gilligan. The committee chairman, MP Donald Anderson wrote a letter to Secretary of State Jack Straw confirming the committee's judgment and adding their view that, "Dr. Kelly had been poorly treated by his government..."

Kelly told his wife he felt he had been betrayed. We did not understand the depth and duplicitous nature of that betrayal until further reviewing testimony at the Hutton inquiry, particularly that of Richard Hatfield, Director of MoD Personnel.

Hatfield had no personnel management experience when he was appointed to that job in June of 2001. He had been Policy Director of MoD and a member of the Joint Intelligence Committee. On July 7th Hatfield met with Kelly to review (and get Kelly's approval) of a clarification the MoD intended to issue to clarify inaccurate information in Gilligan's report without naming Kelly. What Hatfield knew, but did not tell Kelly, was that MoD intended to confirm Kelly's name as the source to the press if any reporter mentioned his name after the charade of a "Q & A" session designed to lead to Kelly.

When Kelly learned of this deception it must have infuriated him. Indeed, if it had been Hatfield's body that was "found dead in the woods" Dr. Kelly might have been a prime suspect in the death.

Another BBC reporter, Susan Watts, claimed on the evening program Newsnight, that Kelly made statements to her indicating he had lied to the MoD about statements he made to reporters. Later, after Kelly's death, Watts had to back off from that allegation when the inquiry reviewed transcripts of a taped conversation Watts had with Kelly (without Kelly knowing it was being taped) and hearing an enhanced version of the tape recording.

However, in the interim the media, led by Tom Mangold, who claimed to be "Kelly's best friend" and until very recently was himself a BBC reporter, claimed Kelly was so shamed by being branded a liar that he killed himself.

However, that was belied by Kelly's actions and communications right up to the morning of the day he disappeared (July 17th). He did not at all appear to be depressed and was looking forward to returning to Iraq to continue the search for weapons of mass destruction (WMD).

However, he did communicate in an e-mail the day before his death that there were "many dark actors playing games." Ironically, that e-mail was to Judith Miller, the New York Times reporter and CFR stalwart who probably was one of those dark actors. Miller, along with two other women was a close confidante of Kelly's. The second was Olivia Bosch, a long-time functionary of the CFR's sister organization in the U.K. the Royal Institute of International Affairs (RIIA). The third was a U.S. Army intelligence agent named Mai Pederson.

In part two of the article, we suggested that Kelly's mistreatment by MoD had made him a resentful employee and, with all his dangerous knowledge, a prime candidate for elimination.

However, information new to this writer since that article provides a much stronger motive for the assassination of Dr. Kelly.

For several months, Kelly had been communicating with Victoria Roddam, a commissioning editor for Oneworld Publications based in Oxford. One week before Kelly's death, she had sent him an e-mail that said in part, "I think the time is ripe now more than ever for a title which addresses the relationship between government, policy and war-I'm sure you would agree." They had been discussing Kelly authoring a book to be published by Victoria's company.

Another document found among Kelly's effects at his home and removed by police was an undated hand-written note from Roddam with a list of suggested topics to be included in the book, any one of which would have sent the elite in several countries into a containment mode.

One such topic was the ethics of biological warfare, a sticking point that could be responsible for a string of deaths of world-class microbiologists in various countries.

A second one was the involvement of corporations in biological warfare.

A third was the role of the pharmaceutical and biotech industries in biowarfare as well as prevention and containment.

Yet another was the connection between Russia and Iraq with WMD.

Victoria had also listed a look at the proliferation in the arms trade as well a look into the Royal United Services Institute-Whitehall.

Finally, in the document there was a cryptic one-line reference to the rules of the Royal Institute of International Affairs (RIIA).

Recall Kelly was a neophyte member of the RIIA and likely would not have known what rules, if any, the organization had on members authoring books on sensitive subjects. He probably would have inquired disclosing his intentions. He also may have discussed it with his fellow member and confidante, Olivia Bosch.

It would have been in character for him to discuss the project with Judith Miller and perhaps seek her advice as she had authored several books on topic. He may even have discussed it with his spiritual advisor Mai Pederson.

At any rate, Kelly's and Victoria's project was no longer a secret (if it ever was). And now David Kelly has joined the growing list of world-class microbiologists who have met mysterious deaths and/or been murdered.

After a bit of googling, I can't find anything at about Dr Benito Que apart from pieces echoing each other about his death, which may or may not have been mysterious.

The suggestion that his work might have been useful for the mythical race-specific weapon is sheer speculation. Unless there is anything from a reputable source that such a weapon is even feasible? My understanding is that it is not.

Looking at the raw data, 46 dead between Nov 01 and Jan 05 - more than three years. Including a 74-year-old dying of complications after a stroke, an 84-year old with heart failure, three Iraqis who worked for the old regime killed in Iraq. Plus several clear industrial accidents.

And how many of them are actually microbiologists?
Jeffrey Paris Wall was a lawyer, there are medical examiners, a programmer analyst, a couple of nuclear physicists.

This is like the old 'Curse of Tut' urban legend, or the ones about how many people associated with a certain film died.

"a cryptic one-line reference to the rules of the Royal Institute of International Affairs (RIIA)"

Oh please, this is sheer journalistic idleness. The Chatham House Rule (CH is the RIIA) is well-known:

"WHEN A MEETING, OR PART THEREOF, IS HELD UNDER THE CHATHAM HOUSE RULE, PARTICIPANTS ARE FREE TO USE THE INFORMATION RECEIVED, BUT NEITHER THE IDENTITY NOR THE AFFILIATION OF THE SPEAKER(S), NOR THAT OF ANY OTHER PARTICIPANT, MAY BE REVEALED".

The Chatham House Rule originated at Chatham House with the aim of guaranteeing anonymity to those speaking within its walls in order that better international relations could be achieved. It is now used throughout the world as an aid to free discussion.

Meetings of Chatham House may be held 'on the record' or under the Chatham House Rule. In the latter case, it may be agreed with the speaker(s) that it would be conductive to free discussion that a given meeting, or part thereof, should be strictly private and thus held under the Chatham House Rule.

I agree let's move away from the 'race weapon' thing which does sound more like sabre rattling than science.

the role of the pharmaceutical and biotech industries in biowarfare as well as prevention and containment.

This bit I find interesting.

I can't buy any one government or even a cabal of governments offing scientists what's the motive? I can buy into the idea of big business and let's be honest pharmaceuticals are certainly that, protecting their interests.

Okay (dons tin foil hat) how about this, big business pays for a government campaign of Orwellian disinformation about the threat of bio-terror in order to sell products, i.e. anti-viral agents etc all of which are expensive, certain scientists (and certainly not 46) are offed in order to protect this investment the big business has made before they can whistle-blow. (removes tin foil hat)

Obviously the above is total conjecture and to be honest so is much of the information on the net about this area.

I also agree with Wembley that does appear to be a bit of circle jerking going on with the counter-culture sites with a lot of information being cross-fertilised.

None the less very interesting.

Thanks for your input Wembley very interesting.

Just a quick Question to Heckler

remember in JFK they said who had the power to cover these things up ?

Has a pharm company got the power to make DC coe lie in the Hutton enquiry ?
