People Who Just Disappear (Go Missing)

She's been found.
A strange one though;

Hannah Kobayashi found safe after disappearance, family says

Hannah Kobayashi, a Hawaii woman whose disappearance launched a widespread search, has been found safe, her family said in a statement.

Her vanishing spawned conspiracies theories after she arrived in Los Angeles from Hawaii last month and missed her flight connection to New York.

Amid the search, her father travelled to Los Angeles and was found dead in what authorities declared a suicide.
But police ultimately determined Ms Kobayashi had "voluntarily" gone missing. The family did not specify where she was found, or her current location.

"We are incredibly relieved and grateful that Hannah has been found safe," their statement reads.

"This past month has been an unimaginable ordeal for our family, and we kindly ask for privacy as we take the time to heal and process everything we have been through."

Ms Kobayashi travelled from Maui to Los Angeles on 8 November and was supposed to travel on to New York to visit her aunt, but she never boarded the flight for the second leg of her journey.

The siblings, both aged 32, were captured by CCTV on Market Street at Victoria Bridge around 2.10am on Tuesday.

They crossed the bridge and turned right onto a footpath along the River Dee heading in the direction of Aberdeen Boat Club.

Maybe it’s just me, or maybe it’s just the unflattering photo, but that top image and the circumstances give me a vibe of the nutty Swedish sisters who tried - repeatedly and despite police intervention - to top themselves on a motorway a few years ago.

Certainly not the normal images you see of 32 year old females (says me judgementally). Hope they are ok but it doesn't look too good.

Interesting that they are referred to as 'siblings' and 'sisters when they are obviously twins.

In fact they are part of triplets.

Eliza and Henrietta Huszti - from a set of triplets - were last seen in Market Street at Victoria Bridge at about 02:12 GMT on Tuesday.
This phrase always sends a shiver down my spine. Is it just me?

close-knit family
But then the terminology around missing person cases is always a bit odd.

That explains it. Sort of. But it's interesting that the two girls appear to be identical, and yet have a triplet brother... so they were one embryo and he another? So they actually are identical twins. He is a fraternal triplet.

No, the brother is not one of the triplets. The third triplet is another sister, who is not featured in the photo.

Two missing sisters had not told relatives they planned to "immediately" move out of their rented Aberdeen flat, their brother has said.

Eliza and Henrietta Huszti - both 32 and originally from Hungary - were last seen in Market Street at Victoria Bridge in the early hours of 7 January.

Since the alarm was raised searches have been focused around the River Dee.

I thought it was those 2 as well . I remember that oddball case well.

I think the mystery here is that there were two of them. If one girl had gone missing then it would be 'she's fallen in the river possibly as the result of an attempt on her life'. But two? Although, given their closeness, if one fell in it would be natural for her sister to try to rescue her...

I think that is the most likely scenario. One sister slipped into the water, and the the other went in to help her and got into difficulty herself. Unfortunately such tragedies are not uncommon.

The only thing that seems particularly odd in this case is the sudden cancellation of the tenancy agreement without telling anyone.

The landlord was concerned too. But it may be co incidental, of course. The only really suspicious thing is them not telling the family - but they could have had an offer of somewhere much better/cheaper (they were saving), and wanted to be in and settled before they told the family.

The tenancy agreement could be a co-incidence of course but they could also have decided together to do something. It happens. Unfortunately either way it does not look like a happy outcome is likely.
