That's a brilliant one. Any explanation for it?
I would say the curved lines your brain's seeing around the edges is part of the 'static' of the background of the grid. Another example of how little we 'see' and how much our brains just make up from limited information. That's a brilliant one. Any explanation for it?
If I look at the centre of the 'ball' everything stops (almost), look away and off it goes again.Just saw this on reddit. It made my eyes go squiffy.
Look to the corners of the square and the effect speeds up. Notably, I notice that the illusionary 'background' images moving towards the right, and the center cone shape seems to move/rotate, ever-so-slightly to the left.If I look at the centre of the 'ball' everything stops (almost), look away and off it goes again.
Yes, and cone definitely moving left and background right.Look to the corners of the square and the effect speeds up. Notably, I notice the 'background' images moving towards the right, and the center cone shape seems to move/rotate, ever-so-slightly to the left.
The one has no effect at all on me.Just saw this on reddit. It made my eyes go squiffy.
Nor on me.The one has no effect at all on me.
Well it messes my eyes up and makes me feel sick! Lol?Nor on me.
She's a witch! Burn her (toast!)The one has no effect at all on me.
I'm also red/green colour blind, but it's all moving when I see it.I only see the ball on the left moving slightly.
I'm red/green colour blind, would that make a difference?
Have you been drinking?I'm also red/green colour blind, but it's all moving when I see it.
At any given time, it's a safe bet.
This one is just plain weird! However, I've got a thought as to what might be giving this illusion of curves ~
I saw it but didn';t realise it was so much! This is pretty amazing
Seems familiar...
Madness!
After working out what might influence the image to make the lines 'tilt' up and down, I found this. . .
My stepdad came up with a good one for this when I showed him on my laptop - he said as I turned the laptop away he could see the lines were parallel. Indeed if you turn the screen so you are looking at the image almost side on the lines resolve into being parallel.
Well I spent two minutes turning the screen all over and it still looks the same to me.My stepdad came up with a good one for this when I showed him on my laptop - he said as I turned the laptop away he could see the lines were parallel. Ha. . . me too 'PeteByrdie!'Well I spent two minutes turning the screen all over and it still looks the same to me.
Ah, yes, I see it now. . . I'm testing it from a desk-top computer screen, and it works but from a greater distance, and a greater angle. Looking at a lap top screen it might be easier to get that effect!Ha. . . me too 'PeteByrdie!' (Unless it's maybe got something to do with the distance from screen as well?)
