When You Send Off For Something Dodgy And The Police Turn Up Instead

Back when UK-Iran relations were a little more cordial in the Noughties, we had an Iranian PhD student, who tried to order some bacteria or other and gave, I believe, his temporary home address. Special Branch paid our lab head a visit to discuss this!

Nobody likes to be seen carrying a knife - the idea is to _not_ be seen with it ;)

Why not just sharpen the edge of one of your less-important cards? It won't kill anyone but it will give them a nasty cut.

Just to make it clear - I don't as a matter of course carry weapons. But I am interested in knowing what one could defend oneself with if it comes to it.
The knife I'd decided not to carry (in case I was seen with it, which is sackable in my job) was the CardSharp-type blade with the foldable handle.

No use for self-defence as it would have taken a couple of minutes to locate, take out and assemble. I could be hiding round a corner instead 100 yards away by then.

This discussion is from a few years ago. The knife is still in my bedside drawer. :chuckle:

I possess quite a lot of weapons. I don't carry them. Well, not until things get a lot worse.
