Hi there,
Can anyone remember a folktale about some kids getting lost, and when they were found, they said a tiny man had looked after them and fed them pancakes? I have no idea of the era or location, but I have most definitely not imagined it. Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Kate
Many years ago when I was a child about 8 years of age, I was definitely a tomboy ! I loved anything to do with Tarzan and swinging from trees
was favourite pastime ! At that time I lived near a local woodland in which I used to play "Tarzan" with some of the local lads, we used to tie ropes...
Another thread I just read about the child seeing the old lady in black with the limp triggered a memory of a sad time for my family in the early 1980s when my aunt died suddenly in London and her husband died at the funeral. Our cousins were staying with us in Ireland as the adults travelled...
We have lived in our house since it was built in 2007, we rent it, and the next door house is also rented out. We've seen a few families come and go over the years but we have a new family next door - a young couple and their two year old son.
They've lived there for approximately a year now...
Honestly, how long have I been here? And I haven't told the tale of the thing that started my interest in the paranormal, tch! We've just sold the family house, so it's safe enough to tell now, I guess.
Our family home was a two bed terrace in Exeter, and to go to the loo you had to go up the...

I always thought this was a very interesting case,,,,I have a hard time feeling this was a hoax or made up by the kids but then is it a real alien event or something else..?

Why would advanced space aliens land in such an out of the way place to appear to school...

Does anyone have the deets about a group of English schoolkids that claimed they were chased around in a park by little men in little red cars? This half-remembered story just popped into my head the other day and I would love to hear the particulars about it.
I just heard after something like 38 years of not hearing it that a long time ago in the house I grew up in my sister, who was around 3 at the time walked from the bathroom into my mother's bedroom one morning and said 'there's a man in the bathroom'.
This was met with 'no there isn't, your...
Odd things do happen to us all, if only we'd realise and take the chance to look. Here's some weird things that have happened to me over the 30 years of my life;
I can remember when I was a kid and I was falling asleep in bed, I can sort of subconsciously remember something stroking my hair...

I am 60 this year, and I have been amazed just how many rational people have admitted they have either seen or felt a ghost. I got to talk intimately with men and women when I was a nurse and carer, so perhaps they felt they could confide in someone who would give them a sympathetic ear.

Hi all
My first post...so please be gentle.
I read with interest the article in last month's FT about the imaginary friends some children take with them...but I am particularly interested in whether anyone has experienced their own children communicating with what you might term spirits...
I've been meaning to come back and post some of the other strange things which have been happening in this house. The activity has slowed down somewhat lately, and it doesn't feel as 'sinister' I spose the word is, as it used to.
One of the most intriguing things that have happened here...
Not sure if there are any other threads relating to this topic but it's something I'm fascinated by.
Everyone seems to know a child who has imaginary friends - insists on a place being set for them at dinner etc. However, the detail in some of these friends seems amazing. A friend of mine who...
I recall reading in a Charles Berlitz *ahem* book some time ago, that there was a cave network beneath St Helens on Merseyside, where there was much rumness afoot. The story went along the lines of a boy scout being murdered whilst on an expedition to the caves, allegedly by some kind of...
