Missing In Action: Members Who've Gone Silent / Haven't Been Seen For Some Time

Thank you all for thinking of me - I still pop in from time to time to check on all you guys, @lordmongrove and his excellent research, @maximus otter, @kesavaross, @Floyd, @Dinobot, @ChasFink, and so many others -
My husband is still busy having procedures on his legs, time consuming and lengthy, but he is better, and I am in the middle of moving us way down to the Southern United States. Real small town farm country life with fruit and vegetable stands, watermelon festivals, NO traffic, lots of family, just waiting for a home with NO stairs and proper accommodations for my husband.
A move of almost 1,400 miles, which is huge, but will be much happier for us, away from all the hustle and bustle of the overpopulated north and the increasing difficulty to get timely medical attention here.
Looking forward to it!

Also, I neglected to mention that my husband had a bout of lung cancer this year. Stage 2, 14 rounds of radiation, and he is fine, all clear.
So for any of you out there who may be facing the same thing, it seems that radiation works, he wouldn't hear of chemotherapy and didn't need it anyway.
And he is surprisingly healthy after all his medical troubles!

That's good news, sounds like a real fighter. My mum had that when she was 85, didn't faze her a bit "It's only a disease". She's 94 now and still going strong.

I was really surprised when my hubby came out of it so quick and so healthy - I think it was a small spot, and they caught it fast.
Good Luck to your Mum, you must be taking good care of her!

Hope he gets well soon. All the best to both of you.

Yep, I do the same and he's still here.

He just won't take the hints.

We've tried, God knows we've tried................

Nice to hear from you again. Best wishes to you and Mr J and good luck with the move. That's a long way to go but it does sound a nicer environment. Enjoy the cakes but watch the one with teeth in; it isn't considered good form to spit them out.

Good to have you back. May all of your troubles become small ones.

All the best to you and your husband this Christmas.

I hope that he's feeling good enough to celebrate.

Thank you, yes he's feeling quite well - just waiting for these out-patient procedures to improve the blood flow to his legs as much as possible. This will make him more mobile. The first procedure (for one leg) took 5 months to schedule, the second is taking even longer. Think we'll be much better off down South, where there are less people, and probably quicker service!
