Well, the France was one of their (the EBEN'S) choices to take , but 9 months with a bunch of frenchmen in such close quarters....

That will be worth seeing (and not just to see whether alien football is like gridiron or soccer!). Seriously, I've read Anonymous' postings on the site, and they tell a great story, but then so did John Titor (remember him?). With the prospect of alien photos, though, things step up a gear or two. OK, like most alien photos, they'll likely be fake, but it will be fun to see them.

I'm just of the opinion that those governments release information in such a way as to divert attention away from the reality of the situation. Just enough so that it's probably 30% real and 70% imagination resulting in it being nothing more than a circular trail of breadcrumbs.

For example the Eben planet is described as being ninetysix million miles from one star and ninetyone million miles from the other; not a bad trick, since the two stars are 800,000,000,000 miles apart (give or take a few milllion).

Well, helpfully, that information is given in the link.

The Eben planet is located within a solar system of the Zeta Recticular Star System [two 5th-magnitude yellow double stars, similar to our Sun located near the Large Magellanic Cloud]. The planet had two suns but their angles were small and allowed some darkness on the planet depending on one's location.

These are two real stars, and their details are quite well known. They are 9000 astronomical units apart; 9000 times as far apart as the Earth and our own Sun. If seen from the surface of a planet orbiting Zeta Reticuli I, the binary star ZetaII would appear to be no more than magnitude -8.89; for comparison the Sun is mag -26 and the Moon is mag -12.7

Here is an image I have made using Celestia of a sunset as seen from a planet orbiting ZetaI; in reality the main star would be so bright that it would wash out the further star, just as the Sun washes out the crescent moon when it is new.

The only part of the response which i consider to be unjustified would be the use of the word "idiot". He obviously shouldn't of used that term. For a second lets assume project Serpo is 100% real. To explain his reaction maybe we should look into the mind of someone who knows a great deal of information concerning the project. He saw the question, and from his point of view the question did not rationally follow what this man already knew. Therfor it could be deemed rediculous by him and hence the harsh response elicited.
