The police are looking into corporate manslaughter charges against the Countess of Chester Hospital after the murders of seven babies snd assaults on others.

Can't see it going anywhere but the former management might have some sleepless nights. That'd be nice.

Lucy Letby: Corporate manslaughter probe at Chester hospital

Police are investigating possible corporate manslaughter at the hospital where child serial killer Lucy Letby worked.
The former nurse, 33, was found guilty in August of murdering seven babies and attempting to kill six others at the Countess of Chester Hospital.
Letby will spend the rest of her life in prison after being sentenced to a whole life order.
Cheshire Police said the latest investigation was in its early stages.
Organisations and companies can be found guilty of corporate manslaughter as a result of serious management failures resulting in a gross breach of a duty of care under The Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007.

'Worst ever' serial killer 'The Beast' dressed as a monk before torturing 190 young boys
A sick predator dressed as a monk lured young boys with money and gifts before raping and torturing them to death.

Luis Alfredo Garavito, nicknamed "The Beast" has the highest number of victims among serial killers in the world. He kept a sick tally of most of his 190 victims aged six to 16 in a battered notebook during his five-year spree.

But shockingly, the vile killer will be eligible for parole within weeks after Colombian law changed and limited imprisonment to 40 years. Investigations into the murders began when authorities discovered a mass grave of over 35 children in 1998.

Almost all of them were boys and had signs of binding, sexual assault, and prolonged torture. Police initially suspected the killings were done by a Satanic cult or an international child-trafficking ring due to the brutality.

Garavito fell asleep at one murder scene with a cigarette in hand that lit the field on fire. He burnt himself and left behind his money, burnt glasses, shorts, shoes, and underwear.

Detectives then began suspecting Garavito and contacted his girlfriend who had not seen him for months. She turned over a black suitcase he had left to her which contained pictures of young boys, detailed journals of his murders, and tally marks of his victims.

He was arrested in April 1999 but then 42-year-old Garavito horrifically admitted he was the killer of 114 children whose bodies were found in 59 Colombian towns since 1994. The killer then confessed to 26 more murders.

Later in prison, he confessed to another 50 other killings but it is feared the real number could exceed 300.

Well he won't be getting parole. Apparently he died last week.

Have we done this guy?;
John Bodkin Adams.

Never heard of him - interesting. Reading that makes me wonder, if there was data collected re. the religious beliefs of serial killers - would there be any atheists/agnostics or are they usually religious? (ie: doesn't matter if they kill you, as you'll go to heaven anyway?) I mean, if you genuinely believed in some god or other, and believed they could pardon you anyway, whatever you did in life - and that the victim was "in a better place" anyway...

I only came across him last night while looking up Lord Boothby.

(I started off by looking at the people who were the inspiration for Peter Pan and one thing lead to another- as it does on the interweb.
I ended up reading about locks on the river Thames and by then it was about 3am so I called it a day).

One case where the phrase 'No one in Britain is above the law'' proves to be absolute horses**t.
From Wikipedia:

"Boothby was a frequent visitor to Weimar Germany, and in 1932, he was invited to meet Hitler. In his autobiography, he recalls that Hitler "sprang to his feet, lifted his right arm, and shouted 'Hitler!'; ... I responded by clicking my heels together, raising my right arm, and shouting back: 'Boothby!'" Unlike some who were impressed by Hitler, Boothby came away thinking he had seen "the unmistakable glint of madness in his eyes," and the meeting helped convince him to become one of Churchill's small group of parliamentary campaigners for faster rearmament."

Good for you, chap.

The defending of a serial killer and 'entertaining' young boys with the Krays- not so much.
Oh agreed. I just would have liked to see Adolf's face. Interesting moral point - you have an alleged vegetarian responsible for the death of millions, and a sexual abuser who stood up to a despot. Mind you, I think Adolf has also been accused of sexual abuse.

People are complex. I mean, presumably the charities did benefit from Savile's charity work, even if he did do it purely as cover.

I read about a British reporter who accidentally bumped into Hitler and was therefore crapping himself, but Hitler was very apologetic and polite apparently.

Ohio woman charged with 'serial killings' allegedly met men for sex before fatally drugging them

An Ohio woman was charged in connection to the deaths of at least four men she had met for sex, authorities said, in what could be a burgeoning serial killer case.

Rebecca Auborn, 33, is accused robbing and fatally drugging victims on Jan. 15, April 1, April 13 and June 17 this year.

The indictment also includes allegations she robbed and tried to fatally drug a man on Dec. 13 last year.

I'd have to be drugged, too. And the mix would have to include Viagra.
