I head about something similar to this about 10 years back, where the police and local council got together to try and 'design out' the usefulness of a park in Bradford as a public sex environment for gay men. Probably a much smaller scale though, in terms of ripping out trees and hedges.

We describe a novel technique using an electric grinder and laryngoscope blade. Conclusion: The technique described in this article is a valuable and relatively safe technique for the Emergency Physician to facilitate the timely removal of a hardened steel constriction device.

Genital surgery massively disfiguring, court hears

A doctor who performed a "massively disfiguring" operation on a patient's genitals told a nurse the woman's husband was dead "so it doesn't matter", a court has heard.

The former gynaecologist, known only as GSR as he cannot be named for legal reasons, is charged with maliciously inflicting grievous bodily harm on Carolyn DeWagaeneire during an operation to remove a pre-cancerous lesion in August 2002.

Mrs DeWagaeneire was 58 at the time of the operation.

He is also charged with excising Mrs DeWagaeneire's clitoris, an illegal operation for a doctor to perform unless it is necessary for the patient's health.

During the Crown opening in the District Court, Crown prosecutor Margaret Cunneen, SC, told the jury that GSR had "deliberately performed this surgery ... either deliberately to harm her or recklessly without considering her human suffering".

"It didn't need to be such a massively disfiguring operation and he didn't have Mrs DeWagaeneire's consent."

During a consultation with the doctor, Mrs DeWagaeneire was told the operation would be a "simple vulvectomy" involving the removal of a small flap of skin, Ms Cunneen said.

"Mrs DeWagaeneire will tell you that while she was lying on the operating table in the theatre before she was rendered unconscious by anaesthetic the accused came over to her and put his face quite close to her and said to her, 'I'm going to take your clitoris too,' " the jury was told.

Ms Cunneen said that, when a nurse present during the operation had seen the cut GSR was making. she told him she thought it was "fairly radical surgery" and asked why he was taking so much.

The doctor allegedly replied, "If I don't take it all, the cancer will spread."

He added, "Her husband's dead; it doesn't matter anyway."

His barrister, John Stratton, SC, told the jury Mrs DeWagaeneire's condition was a "time bomb ticking, ready to go off."

"He was not trying to mutilate or harm [her]. He was trying to save her life."

The trial continues.

Did you not hear about that guy, Zilch? He was all over the local papers about a year or two back. They were calling him The Butcher of Bega, though he was working at Pambula hospital too (which is a bit scary since I was in that hospital a few weeks before the news broke). He was doing things like that to more than just her too - hundreds, IIRC, and sexually assaulting them too.

Yeah it's pretty disturbing. What bothered me a lot also was that he had been reported before by patients, but no one believed them, and he himself had gone to the medical board and said that he didn't believe that he was fit to practice, and they declared him fine.

Williams, who was released from jail after posting $3000 bond, is next due in Jackson County Magistrate Court on February 16.

During an appearance this morning in Jackson County Magistrate Court, Melissa Lee Williams, 41, also received a 90-day suspended sentence and was ordered to pay $185.80 in court costs, according to a plea form. Williams, pictured in the mug shot at left, is currently in custody at the South Central Regional Jail.

'Amorous' Darwin woman attacks taxi after driver rejects offer of sex

A woman jumped into a cab in Darwin, Australia, suggested to the driver that they have sex and when he declined, started kicking the car and then threw a bottle though the rear window, the Northern Territory News reported.
The paper quoted the cabdriver, who asked to be identified only as Dean, as saying, "If you saw the girl you'd have to be pretty desperate. She was a very big fat ugly woman, she got in the car and stunk it out."
Dean, 41, who is engaged to be married, said the woman got in his car outside a tavern Sunday night and asked him “Do you want to have sex?”

Man sentenced for sex act on horse at Devon stables

A man was caught on a covert infra-red camera performing a sex act on a horse at a stable in Devon.

Derek Woods was caught when he triggered alarms at the stable which had been set up by police after they were alerted by the animal's owner.

Woods, 26 and originally from Glasgow, admitted charges of animal cruelty and one of committing a sex act on a horse.

Sentencing him to a supervision order, the judge said Woods had acted in a deviant and depraved way.

Police were first alerted by the horse's owner in December 2009 when she found Woods asleep in a barn.
'Isolated' man

Fake CCTV cameras and a loud alarm were installed in an attempt to keep him away but they were unsuccessful and the owner noticed injuries to the horse in February 2010.

Det Con Darren Campbell said covert surveillance was then used.

"The alarm sensors were taken apart, camouflaged and fixed to the stable door and a tiny covert camera and infra-red lamp set up inside with the recording equipment hidden in a nearby tack room," he said.

Woods, of Alphington Road, Exeter, was caught in August 2010 when he activated the alarm and camera.

Defence counsel Nigel Wraith said: "Woods is unable or unwilling to talk about the reasons behind his offending, it is difficult for anybody to fathom out what the reasons would be.

"He feels complete and utter shame at the position he finds himself in and is embarrassed beyond words."

His barrister described him as an "isolated" man with a drink problem.

In addition to the 24-month supervision order, Woods ordered to undergo treatment for alcohol dependency.

He was also banned from going within a one-mile radius of the horse owner's stables and fields.

'Sex dungeon' discovered in Dartmoor cottage
A raid on a quiet country cottage suspected of being a brothel proved to be an operation in which police did not need to go undercover.

Det Sgt Stuart Gilroy said the 11 officers involved in the raid were “shocked” at what they found. “We were surprised to uncover this to say the very least. It’s fair to say we were not expecting to find a masochistic dungeon in sleepy Lee Mill. You don’t expect to find this sort of thing anywhere,” he said.

“In the dungeon alone we discovered bondage chairs with straps, gimp masks, whips, shackles and various electrical vibrating items. We did not need to make a forced entry because we were invited in by occupants. :shock:

“We are glad to have disturbed this activity and restored normality to the neighbourhood. We would also like to thank residents who reported the activity to us.” The case was adjourned by Judge Francis Gilbert, QC, at Plymouth Crown Court and Somers will be sentenced next month.

Labiaplasty surgery increase blamed on pornography
Doctors blame internet porn boom as more women seek 'designer vaginas' through genital surgery

Medical experts have sounded the alarm over soaring rates of labiaplasty, as the preliminary findings of a study show women are increasingly turning to private providers to pursue "designer vaginas".

NHS and private sector professionals have warned that some young women approaching cosmetic surgery companies are depressed or on medication, and are being sold operations without preliminary access to alternative psychological therapies.

Experts carrying out the research at King's College London also suggest that the so-called "pornification" of modern culture may be driving up surgery rates to unprecedented levels as both men and women have increased exposure to pornographic imagery via the internet. Recent studies have shown sharp rises in the numbers of young people accessing porn.

The King's study is attempting to find out more about the motivations of women who are increasingly seeking surgery. Professor Linda Cardozo, a gynaecologist, said that the preliminary findings show that while women go to the NHS seeking help with functional problems, such as discomfort during sex, those turning to private companies were often seeking purely cosmetic changes and were placing themselves at risk in a growing industry that is largely unregulated. Experts say the risks of labiaplasty include permanent scarring, infections, bleeding and irritation, as well as increased or decreased sensitivity if nerves get caught in the operation.

"The private sector is not recorded, audited or regulated," said Cardozo. "We have no way of knowing how many surgeries take place there. It's possible to go on a [surgery] course for $75,000 in the US, come back with your own laser equipment and set up. At least if you have it on the NHS you have to go through your GP and that's a gatekeeper."

Cardozo also expressed concerns that private providers could be acting irresponsibly by operating on vulnerable women in need of psychological care.

Cosmetic surgeon Angelica Kavouni is carrying out three labiaplasties a week, both for the NHS and for her private company, Cosmetic Solutions, where she charges £3,000 per operation. She said: "A lot who come to me for labiaplasty are depressed and some are on medication. That's a major issue, because you shouldn't have cosmetic surgery when you are like that. It definitely needs to be investigated."

The number of labiaplasty operations in Britain is booming. The surgery is primarily intended to make labia smaller or more symmetrical. Figures released to the Observer show that the Harley Medical Group, a leading cosmetic surgery provider across the UK, received more than 5,000 enquiries for cosmetic gynaecology in 2010, 65% of which were for labial reduction, the rest for tightening and reshaping.

Pervert caught pleasuring himself in slurry for third time

A man found naked in a field amongst cow dung and mud had been sexually pleasuring himself, a court has heard.
It was the same farm he had returned to over a period of seven years.

He was discovered on Saturday by a child of the family on land at Woodbury House Farm, Tolgus Mount, Redruth.
When police officers arrived soon after, they found him covered in a large amount of slurry and mud, in a quagmire, surrounded by tissues.
This is the third time that he has appeared in court for this kind of behaviour.

David Truscott, aged 41, of Pengegon Parc, Camborne, was sent to Truro Crown Court for sentence by Truro magistrates after he pleaded guilty to breaching a restraining order and to causing harassment to Clive Roth, of the family living on the farm.

Jill Wilson, prosecuting, said the restraining order had been made in 2009 prohibiting Truscott from entering the farm for any reason.
“There is a history of his visiting this particular farm seeking sexual gratification while immersed in cow dung and mud,” she said. “This is the only place he seeks to gratify himself in this particular manner. It goes back seven years.”

The Roth family had suffered because of his behaviour, she went on, as it had affected their quality of life and their children who had been part of what was going on.
“The family have to regularly check their livestock, outbuildings and equipment, as he has masturbated in a muck spreader and set fire to outbuildings, killing livestock in frustration when they cleaned out their farm equipment in an attempt to stop him from this lewd and obscene habit.”

On Saturday, a son of the family had become aware that a man had been seen climbing over a gate to the property, and since the family were expecting this to be Truscott they went out. The child came across him naked in a field amongst cow dung and mud.

His previous convictions included arson, burglary and harassment, and he had a caution for possession of extreme pornographic images in relation to animals. He had breached the restraining order before, quite soon after it was made, and for which he was sent to prison.

The magistrates sent Truscott to the crown court on March 23, saying the case was unsuitable for summary hearing.
He was remanded in custody.
