Maybe in some cases the women are very thin (as they tended to be back then), leading to saggy-ness in the dupa department, but I think it must be more to do with the cut.
Mind you, the men did like a very high-waisted trouser back then too.

This movie was promising and then they added actors,

This reminded me of the worst movie I ever rented. It was so bad, that I wrote a note and put it in the video case warning people not to waste their time even picking it off the shelf:

I haven't seen it in decades, but I don't think Laserblast was all that bad. It was one of those low budget pictures whose ambitions far exceeded its finances. And Eddie Deezen is in it!

ETA:
Oh, wow! I didn't realize that was the whole film. I thought it was just a trailer. I'll have to watch, and maybe my opinion will change

I must object.
While not great, and certainly the adaptation from the novel was hit 'n' miss, I wouldn't say it was a terrible movie - especially in comparison with other ... nominees as listed above.
The production was, understandably, fraught with problems and dangers - the latter proved by the accidental death of a professional stuntman/climber. But they felt invested in completing the production, emotionally as well as financially.
I quite like it and add it to my list of Saturday/Sunday matinee movies - along with Where Eagles Dare, When 8 Bells Toll, The Eagle Has Landed, Jason and The Argonauts, and Breakheart Pass. None dreadful, but not exactly groundbreaking or benchmark.

I have this on a 50 movie boxset, I have yet to watch it....
 
Don't get me wrong - I treasure (and regularly re-watch) my VHS copy of Jason and The Argonauts.
But it's rarely in the top 20 lists of ground-breaking cinema. I don't respect some Top 20's - everyone's tastes are different - but Argonauts (which I love) often loses out to the 'usual suspects' such as The Green Mile, Forrest Gump, Citizen Kane etc. etc.

It does have some of the finest examples of old-school stop-motion animation in it, though.
 
BTW, @Stormkhan, I would watch Jason and the Argonauts 20+ times before I would ever watch Forrest Gump, or Field of Dreams.

My husband and I went to a drive-in (remember those?) that was playing Field of Dreams. I think we wanted to see the second feature. Anyway we hated it so much that we left after about 1/2 hour.

They had a 20 minute chase in Edinburgh, I was just watching it for that. Honest.

I realise this is the equivalent of certain magazines that are bought for the articles...
