Time Or Dimensional Slips

I agree that at the deepest level we are faced with a lot of fundamental questions, about reality, about consciousness, about whether we are all interconnected, and as you will have seen I ended up seriously considering the virtual reality option, not least because the parameters of the time slip (at least in an urban environment) are governed by the human geography. Going back to that Leeds case, you can see that the first sister entered the slip an instant before the second, so the second was uniquely placed to see her pass through the shop customer before she, too, entered it. The shop assistant, who must have also been sensitive, saw the first sister pass through the customer then fade away into the slip. At that stage none of the participants had any idea what was going on and they could only interpret it as ghosts or spirits, etc. The second sister was still none the wiser when she posted the case. This all suggests that one "time" may be closer to another than we realise in our everyday state.

I am coming to the conclusion, that although its "virtual" the virtual must be considered real. It looks very much like the Universe is infinite, so the centre of an infinite field is where you are at. The fact that their would be infinite possibilities, cant be discounted. On a few threads that I have been involved with, some people involved in an accident, wonder why a certain death situation, has turned into a walkaway unscathed situation. When their has been no rational reason why it should have been so. It's as if a time line jump occurs , for the observer ,and on the other hand on another time line, people could be left cleaning up. For the person who seems to have escaped certain death, we have to ask, what is it that he has escaped, except a changing internalised reality model.?
This model starts to get exciting, because it could explain Ghost spirits, U.F.O 's etc because linear time is a mental discipline to make a reality rational, when the overall construction of the Universe could well be a chotic single event, forever requiring a conscious internal construction model to rationalise it.
Their seem to be a lot of glitches in this matrix, Ooparts, and all the other anomalies one would expect if the nature of reality was constructed in this way, slowly climbing out of chaos into a reasonable model. Whatever a reasonable model would be.

I was always a bit worried as to whether to post this experience, I don't want to appear fanciful but it was only a few years back that the suspicion started growing that this experience might have been a genuine dimensional slip. Back in about 1969 I was living on the Isle of Wight. My wife and I decided to go out pubbing, so we drove out along the Forest road, then did a right turn, down a country road, about 7pm, we noticed a pub in the twilight, it had lights, a porch and a parking area made of gravel, we went in off the main road and parked, and went into the pub, we were the only car in the park, we had to stoop down as it seemed very old fashioned, did a left turn at the main door and ended up in a public bar, with pictures of the patrons on the walls, we were told they were theatrical. In fact we had a great night, the hostess who claimed to be eighty ended up doing a dance on the table. About ten we left, and went home. The next week we thought that we had such a great time we would retrace our route and do the same again. The funny thing was, we spent about an hour going up and down the same road, and we never found that pub again. So we went to another one and let it be, I think we might have looked again a few times but with no luck.
Then many years later, I came across some stories about some other people that had the same experience, in the same area, they were reported in Ghost stories, of the Isle of Wight. I genuinely am at a loss to explain this. The fact that the Pub was quite full, but we were the only car in the Park. In fact it seemed like a genuine Country Pub, how the heck you can loose a pub on roads you have been up and down most of your life seems strange to me. But the older I get the weirder it gets.

I wonder if we could get a google maps/street view image?

Good news, my brother has located the site of his time slip. The barbershop and adjacent buildings have been knocked down, but the grocery store/restaurant building still stands! It's now a Victory Outreach church, so it wouldn't be a good idea to enter it unless one actually wanted to be delivered from the Thug Life, but hey, we can see pictures from Google street view. :)

My brother did not take pictures when he was there yesterday, but did show me the location on the map. Since taking screenshots on this computer is more trouble than it's worth, I just snapped these pics of the screen with my camera. Any warping or strange appearance in the photos can be attributed to that.

(I've covered up the address and phone number because I figure the parishioners have enough troubles without me throwing their number up on the internet in connection with some weirdness.)

I could not access the property records online without paying a fee, so couldn't check into previous owners as yet, but did find some basic real estate information. The place was built in 1960, listed as "general use" type property, and was marked as having an addition built on at some point. I'm assuming the added-on bit is the very front with the "outcry in the barrio" sign on it, judging from the style. The rest of the building has a flat roof, and on the right-hand side of the addition (and to the left of the door) you can see a window made of glass slats, the kind that are opened with a crank. This, as well as the odd placement of the door, indicates to me it probably was a small store once upon a time, as this was typical of the style back then.

If my brother did experience a time slip here, it must have been to a time when the shop was new.

edit - okay, one bit of weirdness might not be due to photographing a computer screen - I've just realized the window in the side of the addition is clear glass in one photo and colored glass in the other. *scratches head* I suppose the Google camera could have photographed this location at different times, but when looking at the street view, it didn't seem that way. Darn it, now I'm going to have to go back and look!

Now, I have a feeling I've come across a similar tale in that area, but it would take a while to check. There are a lot of time slip cases involving pubs, cafes, hotels, restaurants etc., which people visit and then can't find again. Sometimes it can be shown that a simple mistake has been made, but usually they remain mysterious. And if the people or decor look decidedly out of date, time slip is the obvious explanation. However, other cases are more complex, and dimensional slips or more bizarre possibilities arise. Sometimes people interact with the witnesses in a way that suggests that the experience has been deliberately engineered by some intelligence, sometimes giving them directions on how to get back to their own time (or reality?). (One witness spontaneously referred to these individuals as "monitors," an interesting notion.)

Congratulations on coming up with all that information. Some good detective work to deduce that it could have been a store at one time. Curious that it was turned into a church, of all things.. The shadows show the pictures were taken at different times.

I did a bit of research a few years back, and noticed a couple of stories regarding disappearing pubs were in "Gay Baldwin's books" The most haunted island...or something similar. I've no doubt the tales are genuine, but have been commercialised into a business. Ghost tours etc. The place might geographically have something going for it. Its claimed an ironstone rift, crosses the island at approximately the same course the moon takes in its travels, its called the something Draconis. If it produces a natural torsion field, for want of a better word, it may be a good cause for the paranormal phenomena. Their certainly is a lot of it for a small place.

This is an almost meaningless statement. Of all the well known astronomical bodies, the moon covers the largest proportion of the sky over the course of a year. Its orbit is inclined at 5 deg to the Ecliptic (the path of the sun), so depending on where it is in its orbit the moon might rise and set further north than the sun does, or further south.

Over the course of a year the sun covers a band of sky 47 deg wide; the moon can therefore cover a band up to 57 deg wide. It doesn't follow any one course across the sky, but dozens, or hundreds, or thousands... (depending on the period of time under consideration)!

Yes thanks for that, it was very informative, but I doubt whether any one, scientist or layman, has put any sort of probe in the rift, and checked what happens during the moons Apogee and Perigee. If gravity has anything to do with time, which is postulated in Einstein's equations, their would be points of time, during Apogee and perigee and points in between when the gravity would change. You cant say it doesn't because that is what is powering the tides in the sea. But when not dealing with a fluid, who is to say what is happening.

At present I would imagine the Admiralty does the ground position of the moon, just the same as it does with the Sun with regards to old time non GPs navigation, I doubt whether much work has been done with regards to the Moons ground position and reported anomalies. What at present seems interesting is the feeding habits of fish and game, with regards to astronomical positions. Whereas sunrise/sunset seems to be a agreed feeding time for fish, the feeding effect gets stimulated, if moon rise coincides with sunrise, the effect is stimulated. It only goes to prove that astronomical positions effect the feeding habits of terrestrial life on Earth, which begs the question what else do these positions effect.

At the moment we just have some clues to follow up, but a pattern is already emerging connecting a variety of odd happenings, including time and dimensional slips, with geological and astronomical factors. Here is an example that I only just came across: doubtless most Fortean enthusiasts will know about the Biefield-Brown effect, made famous by Townsend Brown's Project Winterhaven, a field propulsion drive based on capacitors charged to ultra high voltages. It seems that measurements of the strength of the effect were found to vary in relation to mean solar time, lunar hour angle, and sidereal time. As I suggested in the context of Project Cronos, maybe variations in earth energy modify the strength of the effect. Finding a similar effect in an entirely separate "antigravity" project is quite remarkable

Without a doubt anomalies, have to have some sort of trigger ,a power source that changes the normal readings so to speak . They measure the EMF as, said at various sites for various things. Whether its Ghosts Orbs or UFO's. Gravity changes would be the best bet, as any one can download an astronomical program, which puts your geographical position on your local horizon. "Space time" has to vary, during the passes of astronomical bodies. If an anomaly was reported to have happened at a recorded time at a certain point on the Earths surface, then its quite simple to put the coordinates into a downloadable program like "Star Calc" and check to see what was happening above your local horizon at that time.
During the wind up of the Paulo Alto Psy. lab, it was concluded that the best anomalies occurred when the local ground position was facing Sagittarius, the place where the remnants of the hum of the so called big bang came from.
I did a few checks, and the readings with regards to well reported anomalies, did seem to have an astrological factor mainly the moon, which has a cycle of about 18.5 years, which means it will repeat its exact position in the sky from your horizon every 18.5 years, as opposed to the Sun which is annual of course. If the position of Jupiter can effect short wave transmissions, in fact it causes a million mile tide on the Sun, no doubt these positions could effect a lot of other things as well.

The Sun isn't THAT big.

The Sun isn't THAT big.
The tidal force of the Sun is 44% of the moon, considering how far away it is, when the two are combined the tides get big. Or another way of putting it, is the stress on space time gets larger. As far as I know the tidal effect of Jupiter on the sun causes a tide just like the sun does on Earth.
The Sun isn't THAT big.
But your right its not a million miles I don't know where I got that from.

By 'the hum of the so called big bang' I assume you mean the Cosmic Microwave Background. It doesn't just come from Sagittarius, but from all over the sky - hence 'Background'.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cosmic_microwave_background

As for Sagittarius, "The Milky Way is at its densest near Sagittarius, as this is where the galactic center lies. Consequently, Sagittarius contains many star clusters and nebulae."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sagittarius_(constellation)#Deep-Space_objects

And, "The complex radio source Sagittarius A is also in Sagittarius, near its western boundary with Ophiuchus. Astronomers believe that one of its components, known as Sagittarius A*, is associated with a supermassive black hole at the center of the galaxy, with a mass of 2.6 million solar masses."

But, as usual, when you venture out from what some would call fluffy woo-woo territory into more precisely defined scientific fields like astronomy, you seem to get all your mucking words fuddled up!

I can't comment on these matters except that I did download gravity and magnetic data for the UK, hoping to correlate them specifically with events at Rougham, but you really need a specialised program to select the readings that you require. So I put them aside for the moment. Anyone who wants to pursue this line will find them online quite easily.

If the hum was coming from all over the sky, then when it was first discovered, why was it an hour later every day, as far as I know the stated age of the universe is 3.5 billion years since the so called big bang, but the farthest observable Galactic clusters are far older than this. Which makes the model flawed. So it seems it all based on fluffy woo woo territory anyway.
When quantum physics gets brought in it gets even worse, like "spooky woo woo at a distance"

The fact that the same type Georgian house has been reported by quite a few witnesses over the years. We can be pretty sure that quite a few didn't report it or notice it. This shouldn't matter as long as the timing of the witness observations are reasonably accurate. The observations must be cyclical as they have happened more than once, in this particular case at Rougham, have you done a check with regards the motion of celestial bodies at the time of the sightings. Say the angle of the moon at the time, of sightings to see if their is anything repeatable in the anomaly.?

I have probably lost what little skills I once had regarding astronomical data, and I must admit I hadn't thought of checking this. One problem is that you need exact dates and times, and in virtually all cases these are lacking. The earliest case is from the 1860s, then in late 19th C. a small cluster of cases followed by the Cobbold incident, then a handful of events including the famous Wynne-Allington case from the 1920s-60s, and more recently a few more. There is no obvious pattern, anyway. There are two locations where Georgian houses have been seen and one location, the one near Colville's Grove, where a small country house is observed. My guess is that the total numbers of cases might be around 60, but we only know about 20 or so. Taking time slip data as a whole, out of 316 cases I have so far transcribed, only a few report an exact date.

I found summaries of those two other vanishing pub cases, one in Nov 1982 involving a pub called the Vulcan or Falcon on a lane running left from the Newtown to Shalfleet Road. About 15 patrons in the public bar stopped talking and stared at the two witnesses. The drinks tasted bad and they left, and never could find the lane again. The second, in Summer 1990, involved a couple, Wendy and Gary Lacey who found a pub between Brook and Brighstone also with a gravel area outside. I am also trying to track down a missing cafe where a lady had a coffee in 1981, in Piccadilly Circus station, but was never able to find it later. The witness in that case does not consider it a time slip, and she has had one or two other dimensional type experiences.

Was there a link to a pdf file of timeslip events somewhere on this thread ?
Not that I recall. When I started this research I had the idea that I would prepare a catalogue of such events, but there are so many cases out there, well over 400 is my guess, that it is currently beyond me! I wish someone younger and more computer-competent would get involved in that.

I am fairly sure the Vulcan was a pub which has long closed down, outside of Carisbrooke which was up on the hills before you went out on the road to the Shalfleet Brighstone area, It was usually called the Forge, because that was what it originally was. It had a few football tables and a bowling area.
The Wendy and Gary Lacey ,seems to be a dead ringer for what we saw, I only read the story up to the part when they went in, were talking a twenty year difference in times. But I can remember it clearly , how many eighty year olds get up on a table and start dancing, she had a good pair of legs as well. She was a redhead, and the bar had pictures of her and her husband during their theatrical days. The Patrons were gregarious and offered the information that they were a theatrical couple.
I mentioned it to Gaye Baldwin, she might have thought I was a flake, as I mentioned some other anomalies, but didn't get a reply. But the Wendy and Gary report, up until they went in was exactly as we saw it with the coloured lights the gravel area etc. I actually thought it might be a sort of trick where they might have opened the pub when they felt like a bit of fun, but as reported we never found it again.

Yes, online the Lacey's story stops abruptly and the reader is told to buy the author's book to find out the rest. But it does seem to match your experience. I wonder if you can recall the name of the 80-yr old dancer, or her husband; and whether you could search online for theatrical biographies of old stars or images of them that might match the people you saw. I wonder also if local historians might help in searching for the pub -- I got vital info from my own local historian at Rougham.

There was (and still is) a pub called the Blacksmith's Arms, which maps of c1900 show was originally a smithy, roughly where you describe, on the Calbourne road out of Carisbrooke. https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@50.6...03&h=100&yaw=37.340668&pitch=0!7i13312!8i6656
