New report on the nut who stabbed 3 people in a Philosophy class - apparently it wasn't his class but he attacked it because they were discussing gender issues.

Maybe he should have taken the rest of the class & skipped that day.

Is it a bonus hole because men don’t have one? Because we have to relate everything to men.
No. It's just because whoever put the minimum amount of thought into the idea that body parts need to be renamed, is an idiot.

I think we should call now call arms bonus legs. Those talented enough to do handstands will back me up.

I thought philosophy taught you be MORE tolerant, not less.
Only half tongue in cheek: it depends what you mean by "philosophy". The meaning of the word is as broad and open to interpretation as the words "science" or "religion".

Gender is an incredibly complex and nuanced thing. What seems obvious and "common sense" is considerably less obvious, the more you try to define your terms. Plato could have written a wonderful Socratic dialogue on the subject and reached no conclusion.

On the "bonus hole" thing: the whole point of correct anatomical terms is they are simply descriptive and neutral. There are countless words for male and female genitals, but all of the informal ones convey some form of judgement or attitude.

"Bonus hole" is ambiguous and silly.

I should imagine he was crap in bed. No wonder they divorced!
The whole story is amazing. But scrolling down to the bottom of the article seems to tell you why she finally decided to get rid of him:

The songwriter, poet and performer also said she tired of Edwardo's "unsettling fascination" with Marilyn Monroe. Brocarde claims the soldier's crush on the late iconic Hollywood actress began on their wedding day when he spotted the spirit of Monroe in the chapel.

She claims the soldier would disappear for days before returning smelling of Chanel No.5 - the fragrance which had been Monroe's favourite perfume.

Seriously - Marilyn Monroe's ghost turns up at your wedding, the groom takes a fancy to her and starts an affair ? It's like something out of a Terry Pratchett novel!

Update.

A nephew of a pensioner who allegedly took the body of his dead uncle to a Carlow post office to collect his pension payment has been remanded in custody.

Declan Haughney, 41, of Pollerton Road, Carlow and his co-accused Gareth Coakley, 37, of 44 John Sweeney Park, allegedly brought 66-year-old Peadar Doyle of 199 Pollerton Road to claim his pension payment. The alleged offences are said to have occurred at Hosey’s Post Office, Staplestown Road, Carlow, on January 21, 2022. Gardaí believe the pensioner was already dead when he was taken into the post office.

It is alleged Mr Haughney and Mr Coakley, who is on bail, attempted to collect a pension payment of €246 owed to Mr Doyle. Both are also accused of entering the post office at 11.04am where they "dishonestly induced by deception" a member of staff. Both charges are contrary to Section 6 of the Criminal Justice (Theft and Fraud Offences) Act, 2001.

The trial of the two men was expected to begin on Tuesday. However, prosecution counsel Niall Storan BL told the court the “case is not ready for trial yet”.
