Fortean Headlines

That's hardly new news is it for goodness sake! I thought everybody already knew that. Sigh
Yes it’s in a relatively stable orbit presently but I think in about a billion years time it’ll be distant enough to cause the earth to wobble unpredictably & become unstable.

...............................................
The 30-year-old urologist performed the operation to remove the ‘tumour’ a month after diagnosing the man, believed to be in his 60s, with cancer.

Reports suggest that the penis removal operation went down without a hitch- until later analysis revealed there was no reason for it to have occurred in the first place.

---------------------------------------------------
An electric humming vibrator designed to upset neighbours operated for about a month inside New Zealand’s tallest apartment tower, sending 25 neighbours “just about insane” before it was discovered and disabled, a resident says.
....
A photo of the device, which emitted humming vibrations, showed it jammed between two books and the top of an internal window, high up in the $300 million 57-level luxury apartment block.

Sounds like this person has mental health issues. Dad died and brother murdered fairly recently (less than ten years ago) and numerous vicious assaults. Prison terms are not going to help.

Here's the follow-up story:

Sushi terror pranks outrage Japan as police make arrests.

Prosecutions are being made under Japan's "obstruction of business" law.
Apparently it wasn't too difficult to catch the perpetrators, as they filmed themselves tampering with the food and posted the videos onto social media.

My mum once did the bathroom floor in cork. Very comfortable.
My Dad did too. After a while, the glue failed to hold it down, so he had to remove it all.

Supermarket wrongly sacks shelve filler throwing cottage cheese
A supermarket in Numansdorp wrongly dismissed an employee with immediate effect. The case involved an 18-year-old filler who threw packs of dairy products. The young man successfully challenged his dismissal in court, but will not return to his job.

The incident took place on September 3, 2022. On that day, the man had to remove packs of custard, yoghurt and cottage cheese that were past their date from the shelves and throw them into a container. He did so in his own unique way, throwing the packs into the container while smiling and from a great distance. At one point he missed, causing a packet of cottage cheese to burst open and the container plus a shop rack to be covered in gunk.

When the supermarket manager heard about the incident, the young man was summarily dismissed. The subdistrict court in Rotterdam ruled that a firm scolding would have been more appropriate, if only because the young man's immediate supervisor took the cottage cheese incident light-heartedly and was even able to laugh about it. The manager still tried to defend himself at the hearing by saying that the filling shift employee's behaviour deliberately destroyed company property. The shop rack was slightly damaged and the container was so dirty that it later had to be cleaned by a professional company.

The relations between the filling shift employee and the supermarket manager were so disturbed by the incident that the sub-district court understood that reversing the dismissal was not an option. He therefore ordered the manager to continue paying wages for one month and severance pay. The manager was allowed to deduct cleaning costs from that amount. As a result, the filler shift worker is only owed a few tens from his former employer.

UFO sightings put rural Japan community on intergalactic map

/this seems like something that would already have something on the forums, but i failed to find anything.

https://japantoday.com/category/nat...g-rural-japan-community-on-intergalactic-map?
----------------------------------------------
A tiny rural community in northeastern Japan known for numerous UFO sightings is promoting itself as a "home to aliens" in a bid to revitalize its local economy and put itself on the intergalactic map.

By displaying its many pieces of UFO paraphernalia and holding events that appeal to enthusiasts, Iinomachi, once prosperous through silk production and weaving industries, hopes to build a new future by drawing visitors with a passion for the extraterrestrial.

Residents believe they live in a UFO hot spot and speak of repeated appearances of unknown luminous flying objects over the past four decades near the conical 462-meter-high Senganmori mountain.
