These are the pics from the Mirror report, though they print them in reverse order, i.e. the lower one (named "
*****2.jpg") first.
To my eye, the lower one looks more boar-shaped at the head end. Were it not for the long, curved tail, I'd assume that the photographer had snapped some shooter's steel target of a boar:
I'm not really getting what you mean about "spotting the difference".
Cynically, I've just looked at the Google earth image of the probable locus:
...and I noticed that the lane which runs north/south near the centre of the image is named "Bagpath Lane". Is it beyond possibility that someone heard that and thought, "Bagpath? Thounds like
Bagputh, eh?", then a moment later: "
Wait a minute..."
