I listened to the Christmas 2023 episode of the Adam Buxton podcast yesterday. As usual for the Christmas episode Joe Cornish was his guest. To be fair, it was really a live version of the 6Music Adam and Joe podcast from back in the day.

One of the running jokes is that Joe is jealous of Adam's podcast success, and keeps trying to get one up on him. This Christmas' attempt was a brilliant and hilarious parody of the Uncanny Podcast.

"JUST COMING!!!!!"

PREDICTION:

Uncanny TV show season 2 episode 1: Danny talks to "Frank" to hear about his amazing encounter with time slips on Bond Street in Liverpool

Bonus prediction:

Nigel: I am "Frank" the policeman. Tom Slemen re-tells people's experiences; he never interviewed me or Theodora, the woman who was with me in the time slip. Over the years, having heard of Tom Slemen's book and also other reports of my timeslip, I never bothered to come forward until now. I have tried to contact Mr Slemen - who, through social media, has never responded to any of my messages...
The Bond Street Time Slip is the subject of the Walker of Worlds podcast that was released this evening. I’ve not listened to it yet so can’t judge if it is good, bad or indifferent.

It's just a rehash of the Tom Slemen stories that we all know (and love?).
Slemen is referred to obliquely at the end as a local paranormal expert who has made a career out of Bold Street time slip accounts.

*Ahem* back to Uncanny:

"Pretty blown away by this - #Uncanny was the 11th most popular podcast in the UK in the last quarter of 2023. Biggest BBC podcast of all according this chart. Wowsers. Thank you to all of you who listen!!!"

Danny proud to announce that Uncanny was the top BBC podcast in the last quarter of 2023 andthe 11th biggest podcast in the UK

We do have thread on ouija boards. Spoiler: they're always trouble. :chuckle:
Ahh yes, a good thread it is.

No, it sounds hauntingly familiar because....
Roland was an only child and depended upon adults in his household for playmates, primarily his Aunt Harriet. His aunt, who was a spiritualist, introduced Roland to the ouija board when he expressed interest in it.

So not only is Danny 'investigating' an 80 year-old case, it was debunked by a respectable investigator.

During his investigation Opsasnick discovered:
  • The exorcism did not take place at 3210 Bunker Hill Road in Mount Rainier, Maryland
  • The boy never lived in Mount Rainier
  • The boy's home was in Cottage City, Maryland
  • Much of the commonly accepted information about this story is based on hearsay, is not documented, and was never fact-checked
  • There is no evidence Father E. Albert Hughes visited the boy's home, had him admitted to Georgetown Hospital, requested that the boy be restrained at the hospital, attempted an exorcism of the boy at Georgetown Hospital, or was injured by the boy during an exorcism (or at any other time)
  • There is ample evidence refuting claims that Father Hughes suffered an emotional breakdown and disappeared from the Cottage City community
:chuckle:

:chuckle:
:D

I don't know that is the exact case, but at the very least it's a trope. If that's the first story they're going for, it doesn't speak highly of what comes after.

II guess as more and more is announced, the less interested I become in all things Danny Robins.

But I'll still be here to watch the real debunking by the Fortean Mob
