Suggestions About Re-Organisation: Move & Merge Requests

would it be worth renaming the Dolls thread to include poppets and mommets?

https://forums.forteana.org/index.php?threads/dolls.15896/

That is not the primary 'Dolls Thread'.

Despite having been posted in IHTM, the initial post begins with a declaration that 'It didn't happen to them', so I've merged the whole thread with the main one and added your proposed terms to the tags.

I think I'm going to establish a standard format for all those Fortean Nation threads:
  • Clippings From China & Chinese Forteana
  • Clippings From Canada & Canadian Forteana
  • Clippings From Iceland & Icelandic Forteana etc.
The attempt to come up with A to Z synonyms for 'strange' was stupid and doomed from the start!

I think that is much more succinct.

As long as we can keep Kooky Kent.

This is now done (team effort!)

If anybody starting a new Fortean Nations thread could emulate the format, we'd be grateful.

I posted about a neolithic resin artefact in the Neolithic finds thread.

@Fabio Picasso has also posted - in more depth - on the Prehistoric human dispersal thread.

Two aspects of the same subject but maybe better combined under Human dispersal?

This is where we miss the ability to have See also references on a forum; says a pedantic old Librarian!

Completely agree with you. From the perspective of a librarian, I could never be because in my country that profession is not valued.

On the other hand, the topic of the use of resins since prehistoric times is very interesting from its use as medicine, tools and even as jewelry.

Not valued much over here to be honest. The prehistoric uses of resins was new to me and I agree a fascinating subject.
